the car stopped in front of geet's house. Geet looked at maan who was looking at her.

Maan,'' that's it then, good night.''

geet smiled and said,'' thanks for the clothes and everything.''

maan,'' I did it all for myself.''

geet not understanding asked him,''what do you mean?''

maan wanted to tell her that she was his, that they were not separate, their love binded them but as usual he couldn't say it. He just looked at her and smiled shaking his head said,'' nothing''

geet,'' okay, at least come inside.''

maan arose a eyebrow,'' at 1:30 a.m. , what will everyone think.''

geet,'' everyone would thank you for helping me. Unless,'' geet paused,'' you are scared.''

she was clearly teasing him. Maan played along, he had to face it one day, better when he was prepared.'' Maan Singh khaurana is never scared of anyone.''

geet giggled,'' really. Wait till you meet my family. Uncle kashab can scare anyone.''

maan's smile slipped away, luckily at that moment the gate keeper knocked on his car window. Geet told him to open the gate. So, maan found himself entering the area whom a very selected few,other than the family, have ever entered.

He parked the car beside the others. He looked at the number of cars and mumbled under his breath ''show offs, they need an income tax raid.''

geet,'' what?''

maan,'' nothing.''

geet stared at him for moment, then strode forward, maan followed her and they were walking side by side as they entered the main hall.

Maan saw that in front of him was big hall with large glass windows and sofa's and curving on the both ends of the hall leading to upstair were two staircases and from one staircase was cming a tall, willow figure clad in a white saree, the long curly hair in a braid. Time stood still for maan. Suddenly he was forced back in time to a place where he was just a child and she had been his friend, a women who had made him believe in angels and then, in demons. Those demons still lived inside him but he had forgotten them till this moment. An ice formed inside maan, his eyes became cold. His smile nothing but a mask.

Rashika watched them both standing together and suddenly she was scared for geet, the blind trust on her face for the man standing beside her. Was time repeating itself? Geet was so innocent, just like yash but what about maan singh khaurana, who was he like? Will he break geet's heart just the way rashi had broken yash. Later, she told herself, think about it later. Now, deal with this. She straightened her face serene, she took the few feet separating her from them.

Geet looked at her mother and smiled,'' mom, this is a friend, Maan Singh Khaurana, he helped me today in the party, there was a slight accident.''

rashi smiled at geet and patted her cheek,'' accident?''

geet,'' my clothes got torn, I will tell you about it later.''

rashi looked toward maan, who stared at her, the silence stretched and geet looked between two wondering what was wrong.

Finally, rasi said,'' Mr. khaurana thank you for helping my daughter.''

Maan,'' geet is no stranger.''

rashi smiled and turned to geet. '' you go change into your clothes, I will keep his company till then.''

geet nodded and then, looked at maan,'' I will be back, don't go.''

maan nodded. Geet left. Rashi gestured maan toward one of the sofa and sat opposite to him. She picked up intercom phone and told one of the maid to bring coffee. Rashi employed a staff which provided 24/7 service as her and kashab schedules were so variant.

Rasi put the reciever back and looked at maan who was staring at one of the portraits, a bit shocked. Rasi got up to her feet and moved toward the portrait of yash and her. She had it made from a photograph. Beside this portrait was a big portrait of geet which had been made recently.

Rashi,'' yash was so full of life, and it showed in everything he did.''

Maan stood up as well, he looked at the other portraits beside geet and yash. It was of kashab and rashi when they must have been in their teens. Next to that one was of a boy who looked like kashab but there was an innocence in those eyes and it was more enhanced in another one in which geet stood beside the boy. Both looked care free and young.

There were two empty spots in the line of portraits.

Rashika suddenly spoke again,'' you don't want me as your enemy maan, trust me on this. If you hurt a single hair on my daughter's head for revenge, then,I will kill you. Stay away from her.''

maan let his anger out and it blazed in his eyes but his voice was chilly,'' try it and I will make you beg for your life. I am Maan Singh Khaurana, not yash or vinod, I will nt let it rest just because you are a women.''

rashi,'' your time starts now, Mr. khaurana. If you didn't leave this city immediately, then...''' she let the sentence hang, her eyes as cold as maan.

At that moment, a servant came with coffee. Maan looked at rashi and then at servant.'' please, take me to geet's room, I want to spent the night with my wife.''

he emphasised on the words, my wife. Rashi turned a bit pale. The servant stared at rashi for permission. Maan saw geet coming down the stairs, he turned and went up the stairs, geet looked at him surprised. Maan,'' you have seen my room, now, I want to see yours.'' his smile was teasing. Geet smiled and looked down at mum who was sitting on the sofa.it just felt weird to take a man to her room in front of her mother

Geet,'' mum, I.. ''

rashi,'' sure bata, go ahead, I need to work on a new project I just acquired.''

geet took maan's hand in hers and took him to her room.
