Geet entered her room with maan and said,'' so, we are even now, I have seen your room and you have seen mine.''

Maan smiled but he was still stuck in past. His eyes were still cold. Geet watched him and her smile slipped away.

Geet,'' maan, what happened?''

maan looked at her apprehensive face and pushed the memories of past in some corner of his mind. He refused to let rashi come between him and geet.

Maan looked around her room and said teasingly,'' so pink?''

geet blushed,'' well I am just experimenting.''

maan looked at her not understanding.

Geet,'' I am trying to find my favourite colour but I keep changing my mind. This month, its pink, so everything is pink.''

maan looked at the pink furniture, curtains, carpet and then, back at her. ''you change your whole bedroom every time?''

geet,'' yeah.''

a huge grin split maan's face and laughter bubbled inside him,'' you planing to bankrupt them or something?''

geet feeling a bit annoyed at his laughing went to bed and sat down,'' mom say I can do whatever I want.''

maan went to bed and picked a surprised geet in his arm and sat down on bed with geet in his lap.

Geet stared at him, he was so close but he continued forgetting that she didn't remember anything.

Maan,'' I don't like it geet, I want to be the one to spoil you. No one else has the right. You are mine. He kissed her hairs, inhaling her scent. Geet felt her heart beating faster and faster.

He looked deep into her eyes and they stared. There eyes locked and everything else melted away. Nothing mattered.

Maan's finger touched her chin, trailed up and rubbed on her lips, moved up her nose and forhead and finally his hands tangled in her hairs. All this time he didn't look away from her eyes.

Geet had felt each touch like fire and now, she burned. It was weird, she hadn't been close to any man. No one had arose desire in her but with maan, just one look was enough.

Maan's eyes moved from her eyes to her lips, then back at her eyes, she understood what he meant to do next. Her hands moved to his shoulders and clutched his shirt feeling the strength of those muscles.

He looked at her lips again and stared and stared until geet wanted to hit him. Why wasn't he kissing her?

He looked back at her, a naughty glint in those eyes and a smirk on his face knowing he was getting her all heated up.

Then, he slowly dipped his head and his lips brushed hers, once, twice. Geet swallowed and her lips parted involuntary, their breath mingled. Geet closed her eyes tightly, waiting for the next brush of his lips.

Maan took her lower lip in his mouth and gently bit. Her eyes flew open.

Maan whispered,'' don't close your eyes.''

geet couldn't node, her tongue touched the throbbing lip. Maan's gaze focused there instantly.

At that moment there was a knock on door. Maan felt like cursing. Geet shoot off him like she was on fire. She was at door within seconds, her breathing fast.

Geet,'' wh..who is it?''

maid,'' ma'm I am here with coffee. Rashika ma'm said to bring it up.''

geet opened the door thinking what was she doing at so late at night. What if mom or kashab uncle had come. She hadn't even locked the door. ''no, we don't need coffee. He is

just going.''

geet looked at maan who was still sitting on her bed but...was that her mobile? Maan got up from bed and gave her the mobile, '' keep it always with you and I have feed my number in it. I will meet you tomorrow.''

with those words he strode out, probably angry at her,Geet thought miserably but it was late and.. she couldn't think further. His taste still lingered in her mouth and she could still feel his touch on her face. Geet closed the door on maid's face and fell on bed and covered her head with pillow.

maan strode toward his car his body still burning with desire but he controlled himself. What he wanted to do was go back, pull her on his shoulder and carry her far away from all this but that, his brain told him ,was a very stupid idea. He had to wait for geet to trust him. He knew that but his body didn't, he kept remembering there other times together, a much more intimate times. He got in car and sped away from the house.

shashank was sitting working on his laptop, in his room in Maan's house. He was staying with maan even though he had his own house in Mumbai and he could go to army head quarters as well but he wanted to stay close to his friend.

Shashank felt the frustation rising in him. There was something wrong with kashab and he knew that but there was no proof. But the weirdest thing was that he kept requesting for his records from agency but he was being blocked.

Kashab was a very wealthy business man with strong political friends, so there should have been a file on hin. They maintained that for everyone.

But there was only one person who had the authority to over rule his requests. His own father, the head of Ra. He needed to go to head quarters, he looked at time nearly 2 a.m.

It didn't matter, he strode out side.

Maan was driving for 15 minutes when he suddenly felt that there was some problem with his car tires. He stopped the car on a side and went out to check what was the problem. The bullet started at the same moment. Maan threw himself on road and dove under the car.

shashank was in head quarters when the emergency sign lit on, a few seconds later, a voice called,'' Major Bhaghatti required in emergency, code red.''

Shashank frowned that code was for an injured agent. He didn't know any operation was under way. He had been waiting for his father who was busy in a meeting. But now he went toward the emergency, it might be someone he had trained. He stared through glass wall.

It was some girl, her back was to him so he couldn't see her face but she was covered in blood.

He was about to turn away when one of the doctor straightened her. ''pari''

maan called shashank but his mobile was out of reach. Damn. Bullet were still being fired outside. He called the emergency number shashank had given him.

shashank stared as his father who calmly sipped his coffee. He felt humiliated beyond anything.

''why? Why didn't you tell me? I head this region.''

his father looked at him and replied,'' is this the question of General shashank or is it from my son?''

shashank,'' both.''

his father,'' you failed shashank, she prove that she was better than you. You couldn't identify a fellow spy, you let her in and she took information, that information was worthless is beside the point, she was better than you.''

shashank,'' why didn't you tell me about this mission.'' his pride was shredded but he didn't let it show.

His father,'' this mission was meant for you, I want you to took care of kashab but I can't show favouritism. You are the best and I wanted to check your skills. I was very disappointed when you failed.''

shashank remain silent.

His father,'' she was lie from head to toe and you fail to see that.''

shashank,'' she has no training, why did you sent her to him. He let out dogs on her. Did you see her condition.''

his father,'' I am not a baby sitter, she wanted this and I let her have it. And she survived, the doctors will patch her up and she will go for regular training.''

shashank,''why this inhumanity dad, she is all but a child and you threw her to wolves. She was doomed to fail.''

his father,'' she is the daughter of another agent like you, she grew up in this environment. I didn't threw her to wolves, you did it. You failed. I told you this shashank since you showed an interest in army that when a soldier fails, his nation fails with him. This is 21^st century, you are indian army front line of defence. You cannot fail and if you fail this will happen. Someone else will pay for your stupidity. ''

shashank got up from his seat,'' understood sir.'' he left because there was nothing left to be said except anger, humiliation and guilt.

One of his soldier intercepted him outside. '' sir, there was an emergency call...''

shashank sat beside maan who was laying on bed,a bandage around his hand.

Maan,'' stop brooding, I am fine.''

shashank,''you are an idiot, why couldn't you have informed me that you are going to that bas***d's house? What if something had happened there?''

maan rolled his eyes at him,''point taken but I know they wouldn't do anything in front of geet.''

shashank,'' I say just abduct her and go back to delhi.''

maan,'' no, not like this, I am not running away. They came in my world and destroyed it, now they will pay for it.''

shashank watched his determined face and then said,'' okay, butr you will be taking your body guards with you every where and kashab is mine. You take care of your sasu ma and I will take care of his chamcha.''

maan,'' done.''

'...1 week later...

maan danced with geet in the centre of hall while everyone watched. They were at a party thrown by Malhotara's. Shashank had told him to stay in lime light. Why? Maan didn't know that but he was following instructions.

Kashab went to men wash room where the secret agent had promised to meet and give him classified information about indian army. He waited there for quiet some time but no one came. Angry he strode out, a cloth covered his face and someone threw him at floor. Shashank hit him in the chest with full force, he kept hitting him and then, when he was sure, kashab had fainted left, he took the gloves off and put them in his pocket. No, finger prints on that cloth. He felt satisfied, that would teach kashab a lesson.

He had a long mission in front of him to expose kashab but he had beaten the bas***d at least once.
