Vijay Sethupathi’s sexual exploitation accuser Ramya Mohan’s twitter account deleted amid controversy?

Ramya Mohan accused Vijay Sethupathi of sexual exploitation on X, alleging drug use and manipulation in Kollywood. Her post gained attention but was soon deleted. Subsequently, her X account has also been removed. The accusations sparked controversy, but the swift deletion of the post and account has left many questions unanswered.

When searching for Ramya Mohan's account on X, the platform displays, “This account doesn’t exist. Try searching for another." It remains uncertain if X suspended her account or if she deleted it following her accusations against Vijay Sethupathi.

Ramya's post stated that Vijay Sethupathi had sexually accused a "known face in media." The post detailed alleged offers from @VijaySethuOffl: Rs. 2L for "caravan favors" and Rs. 50k for "drives," contrasting with his social media image. It also claimed, "This isn’t one story. It’s many, and the media worships these men like they are saints. The drug-sex nexus is real. Not a joke." The post further highlighted "drugs, manipulation, and transactional exploitation disguised as industry norm" as prevalent in Kollywood.

In response to the accusations, Vijay Sethupathi, speaking to Subhash K Jha from Deccan Chronicle, vehemently denied the allegations, labeling them as "filthy." Vijay Sethupathi said, “Anyone who knows me even remotely will laugh at this. I know myself too. This kind of filthy accusation can’t upset me. My family and close friends are upset, but I tell them, ‘Let it slide. This woman is obviously doing it to be noticed. She has her few minutes of fame, let her enjoy it.’"

He added, “We’ve complained to cybercrime. I’ve faced all kinds of whispering campaigns for seven years. Such targeting has not affected me so far. It never will."

The actor also stated that the timing of the allegations is suspicious since his latest film is working well. He said that "jealous elements" are trying to tarnish his image. He added, “In today’s day and age, anyone can say anything about anybody. There are no filters. All you need is an account on social media, and you can write what you like without fear of repercussion."

Vijay, a National Award-winning actor known for his work in Tamil cinema, has also appeared in films like Jawan and Merry Christmas. His recent film, Thalaivan Thalaivii, featured him alongside Nithya Menen.
