Recap

geet finally asked,'' is your love stronger than the reason you hated me?''

maan thought about it and replied,'' I don't know.'

Geet looked deep into his eyes, he was being honest. She put her head back on his chest and said,'' its the first law of love that ''love is powerful than any other emotion even hate.''

Maan closed his eyes and let out a sigh and didn't say anything. Both stood under the rain, just enjoying the moment.

Morning

Maan knotted his tie and then, put on his coat. He turned and saw geet lying against the pillows.

Maan went to her and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. ''bye.''

he went to move away but geet grabbed him by tie and slowly pulled him back and gave him a kiss on cheek and said,'' love you.''

maan stared into her deep eyes, her smile making him wanting to do many naughty things. He said, ''I know, now let me go, I need to go to work.''

geet let the tie go. Maan straightened, then went away. Geet came out of the bed and went to balcony and saw him coming out and then, sitting in his car. she watched until car was gone and then, instead of going away just sat on the balcony, thinking about him.

…...2 weeks later...

Evening

geet came up the stairs after saying bye to dadi ma who was going to a party which one of her friends had thrown.

Geet tried maan's mobile number one's again but it was still busy. She walked inside the room and looked at his huge portrait on wall and thought ''not fair, mr. khaurana, this is not right. I love you and can't stay away from you for a second but you love me and spend all the time away from me. Don't you want to see me around? Don't you miss the sound of my voice, my laugh?''

she sighed and paced in his room. Then, laughed at herself. '' I am mad, talking to myself.'' she tried calling him once again. This time, he took the call.

Geet,''hi.''

Maan,' hi, sorry, just got out of a meeting, everything okay?''

Geet was silent for a moment then,'' when will be you coming home?

Maan,'' around 9. you have dinner, I will eat something in office, got some work left.''

geet quietly replied,''okay.'

geet put the mobile on bed side table and sat on bed her head in her hands. What to do now? He was slowly shutting her out again. Unintentionally may be but it was happening. Men were so complex, she didn't know how to handle him. But she had to do something.

maan looked at his secreatary in puzzle. ''miss haunda is here and want to meet me?geet?''

his secretary nodded. ''sir, she said that she is waiting for you in the parking lot.''

Maan got up from his chair, closing files on the table he gathered his things. Then, he was striding out of his office.

geet smiled on seeing him. Maan looked at the driver waiting beside her and said,''take the other car home.''

geet conscious of other office worker's curious eyes and quickly sat inside the car. Maan had already sat in other side. He took the car out.

Maan.'' I told you, I will be home by 9.

geet,'' but we are not going home.''

maan turned to look at her. ''Meaning?''

geet asked instead,'' did you have dinner.''

Maan,''yes but why?''

geet,'' okay, so now we are going for a long drive.''

there was silence in the car.

Then, maan asked quietly,'' long drive at this time?''

geet,''its 8 30 and people go for long drive at night.''

maan turned the car toward the road leading to city by pass. It will be a long drive but...

geet slid comfortably on the seat, the quiet in car brought a peace with it. When they were finally on a empty road, geet slowly reached and took one of his hand off steering wheel. Her fingers laced with his. Geet asked,'' how was your day.''

a smile spread on maan's face. ''you are asking typical wifey questions.''

geet smiled back and said,'' I am your wife.''

maan looked at her at the sad sound in her voice but she laughed. '' sorry, if I created any problem by coming to office.''

maan squeezed her hand,'' there is no problem, you can come to my office any time.''

geet,'' hmm, but you still didn't tell me about your day.''

maan shrugged,''usual, nothing new.'' except for the final card he had selected for their wedding.

Geet,'' maan. Why are you so busy these days.''

maan didn't want to tell her that he was clearing his schedule for their 2 week honeymoon and spoil the surprise. So, he said.'' I am always busy, you have got too much free time at your hand after exams that's why you are thinking I am too busy. Now, enjoy the drive.''

geet didn't say anything. Maan parked the car on one side of road. He kept looking at geet till she sighed and said,''okay, okay no more serious talk.''

maan started car again but this time he wrapped his arm around geet' s shoulder and turned on the radio, both listened to songs and commented on their favourite ones.
