Btw, I do not think the actual act of bartering was wrong. How can I, when I am involved in making multi-million deals every day??? No, the sisters were right to make a deal (it is like any business deal), they were doing it to gained what they both wanted. What was wrong was that Arjun was in the dark - and that he didn't know he was the bargaining chip. Also, I said human emotions are bartered everyday - yes, it is - and I speak from what I see all around - I am not judging whether it is right or wrong - it happens and perhaps sometimes these are necessary evils.

As for Arvi's storyline - that very incident changed the storyline - it is another fact CVs wanted the story to move different from this point onwards - but I guess, the channel didn't. But the deal was essential for evolving PR2 to the point; we still are debating about that single most important turning point...

Anyway, Good night, I am out from here...

@sowmya, excellent posts. Thank you.
Before I sign off, I also want to point out that even though we keep saying that we do not know anything, actually we do know some things as shown in the show. And one of them is that these parents and daughter have not been in contact with one another for 20 years. And it is evident that in this day and age (since we are actually in the year 2043 in the show), if one wants someone's contact information, it is possible to find easily due to technology.

Ok, my last post for the day and maybe for quite some time. Nobody said Ovi should be treated differently, at least I didn't. Ovi or purvi or any of the other children could have wanted anything--it is armaan's responsibility as parents to decide which to allow and which not to. You agree that is the responsibility as parents? Though it's not related to this topic, Ovi wanted purvi to move out at one time. Another time later, she chose to stay in a hotel instead of displacing purvi. Both things happened. Just like the parents allowed purvi to leave house in the first instance, they allowed Ovi to leave house in the second. And no, I don't think refusing to stay with a person one is not comfortable with is an issue if the person is willing to not inconvenience anybody else. First time she was wrong when she wanted purvi to move out. Second time she wasn't, the issue was the same but she found a solution that didn't cause inconvenience to anyone else.

Firstly, your analogy is not right. These are your interpretation of the situation, I have different interpretations. Just like you think Ovi had the advantage because was married to arjun at the time of Pia's conception, I think Purvi had the advantage since arjun had openly declared in the party that his marriage with Ovi was a sham and he still loved purvi. The facts as shown by actions showed that both purvi and Ovi skipped town, and both hid big truths from their family. The facts as shown by dialogues prove that both had both noble and more selfish reasons for their actions. And again, I don't think it is a trivial matter for parents to disown a child based on reasons alone. They were still interested in finding out about soham and his family even though they knew without a doubt he was a criminal responsible for a girl's death, weren't they? Is the assumption or even the fact that Ovi hid a truth for her own good worse than criminal acts, when the same truth was hidden by another daughter and forgiven?

Ovi has never said she didn't want to share Pia with arjun. In fact, she asked why arjun never asked anything about Pia (one of the post-leap episodes). She did say arjun could forget everything and go back to his life with purvi BECAUSE he was very vocal about how Pia's existence had disrupted his life (pre-leap).

Regarding the bold part, we do know that armaan disowned Ovi and completely cut her off for 20 years and the reason they did that is false. We don't know if either of them tried to contact the other, but there is enough to make assumptions and I guess the TM meant this thread as a question on who has the greater responsibility to make it right irrespective of what is/is not shown in the show.

I do agree that nothing concrete has been shown yet and if they do show ARMAN made efforts to reach out, I will correct my stance. On a different but related topic, Ovi is clearly helping arjun only as a friend. She keeps telling him to tell the truth to purvi and that she deserves to know. Even when she's talking to herself, she only says she hopes arjun gets better and reunites with purvi (if there was any doubt she was acting in front of arjun). Still, there are posts day in and day out about how Ovi is obsessed with arjun and is doing this on purpose to come between arvi and she's evil etc. etc.. you get the point. Why all these posts when so far, nothing has been shown to support this hypothesis and everything actually contradicts it?

good post sowmya 👏

Lots of things have been said in the heat of debate that went on in this topic. Both sides need to understand that there is difference between critiquing opposition's view and accusing them of mocking or bashing. We have gone through the reports and taken action wherever necessary. We hope members will have meaningful discussion in topic without indulging in personal attacks.
