If you had the power of vanishing one nepo kid?
It was an hour or so after sunset and the road was lonely and quite except few occasional villagers returning home. Now and again a car would rush past me.
So I went on, musing. Was I a happy man? Yes in my humble way but in my Daadi's opinion she felt that I'm an arrogant man who does not know anything but to work. I have been able to give my family and myself all the luxuries, happiness and quality things that one requires and needs in order to live a perfect life.
But Daadi, she is still after settling my life. She is always after me to marry, why I don't understand. I sighed and increased the speed of my car little bit.
But I a thought struck my mind that she is the only greatest friend that I have, my companion, ready to oblige at my slightest plea, at any hour of the day. She understands me and I understand her.
But still, as I sat on my wheel with the soft cool breeze from across the fields playing idly with my dark brown hairs, I suddenly reached a depth in my heart where I found that something was missing- someone who can fill the vacant space at my left, someone with whom I could share all this that makes me happy (and sad), and thereby make myself happier' SAMEERA a sound echoed in my ears, when I realized what was I thinking, made me angry and closed my eyes for a moment.
Suddenly I became conscious of something jarring my train of thoughts. Looking back, I saw a dilapidated car for which a curio shop would be much fitter place than the road.
I could not resist my curiosity to have a better look at the museum specimen: yet quite an age before the old cantankerous ghost of a car came panting and groaning alongside. I shot a quick glance at the pitiable man that would not rather walk than a drive such a car, and then I go the shock of my life: the person at the wheel was women or I should say girl (looking in her early 20s), and she did not look at all pitiable either.
Across the intervening dusk she stared straight at me and instead of embarrassment, I thought I saw a hint of smile on the beautiful young face, 'beautiful' I flinched at my own thought.
Certainly she was enjoying her drive even if she was shattering the verve of her neighbors in the process.
Gradually, she gained over me and went ahead of my vehicle, which I was proud of at that moment, limping tipsily. I felt amused the more so as I could well imagine how proud she must be feeling at leaving me behind.
Then suddenly, with a jerk that almost shattered it, the thing stopped dead. An accident I stopped and stared and could not move. There she lay. Her head resting helplessly on the wheel, eyes closed and her right hand hanging limply.
Good Heavens, what shall I do! What does one do in a situation like this ' I mean a young man and a young girl. I got out of my car and then ran towards that metal junk, she opened her eyes and staring uncertainly at me, asked,
"Who are you?"
Geet Handa:
A girl, in her early 20s. Smart, good looking, introvert minded girl which life is fully filled with happiness. She can melt anyone's heart with her one innocence pouting face, but can make others life hell with her horrible mischievous ideas. Good knowledge over the cars. She has a hobby that will reveal soon.
Maan singh Khurana:
Senior police officer, who only works on police's special crime projects. An arrogant man, when it comes about his work. But as a man, he is honest, kind hearted who helps people easily. When he is with his Daadi ma, he is the softest minded person who can easily melt by Daadi ma's dramas. Because he only has his grandmother in his life and it's his whole world to him
Savitri Devi:
Maan's daadi ma. A sweet woman, though she is Maan's grandmother, but totally modern in thoughts as well as in her behavior. Her whole world means Maan- her one and only grandchildren. Her son and daughter in law died when maan was only 7years, and after that she never turned back. She fought to make Maan a police officer, an honest and successful police officer indeed.
