Part 21
After some time,
She was bored sitting in the room alone, her stomach ache was
much better now.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, she looked towards
the door. Dev entered with a smiling face.
Geet thought, 'hope kuch achi news ho!'
Dev: Hey geetu, wats up?
Geet: kya lagat h aapko, hospital bed mein ek bimar insaan
kya karega?
Dev: ha ha ha how silly me, of course bore hoga.
Dev was nervous, actually he was here to tell Geet that she will
be going home in few days as she is getting better and the
medicines are working very fast, but, she is weak and can't
dance for few weeks because it will again make her weak.
He knows that she can do anything but can't miss her practices
as her competition is near. He couldn't gather the courage to
speak. He took a long breath and started.
Dev: Geet, I want to tell you something.
Geet: Go on I am listening.
Dev: Ummm.. Doctor said that medicines are working very fast
and you are better now. We can take you home tomorrow.
Geet: Voh toh hongi hi itne injections jo thoke hen mujhe.
She made a poor baby face and rubbed her bum where the
nurse has put 5 injections since morning and 4 are still left.
Dev: And.. Geet'. You can't'..
Geet looked at his face and sensed something serious.
Dev: (sigh) Geet you can't dance for few weeks as you are very
weak. Dancing will make you weaker. You need proper rest to
get better. That means you can't''..
Geet: This means I can't participate in the competition. Right?
Dev nodded and looked at her. Her face was expressionless,
but her heart was thudding and she was hurt, 'How can he even
think like that. He knows that I am practicing for this
competition from past 5 years and wining it is my dream!'
Dev: Geet I know that you were'.
Geet: NO you don't know anything, tabhi toh aapne kitni
asaani se keh diya ki I can't participate' Just' how'. How could you..
Her voice cracked and was on the verge of crying. Tears were
brimming down her face and Dev was feeling very guilty but it's
his duty to take care of her. She just hides her face in the
blanket and turned to the other side.
Dev called her, but she didn't listen to him. He left after
sometime but Geet was still crying. She too slept after crying a
lot.
She woke up after sometime when the nurse came inside to
shot her an injection. The nurse brought her food, but Geet
didn't touch the food. She was still thinking how he could just
spill it out.
NT came at the same time and saw her pale face. She got
worried seeing her and went inside.
She sat beside her bed on the chair slowly holding her stomach,
carefully. She shook Geet a little.
NT: Gappu!
Geet came out of her reverie and looked at her sister. She was
shocked to see her.
After the morning incident Dev called NT and narrated
everything to her. She asked Dev to pick her up.
FLASHBACK
Dev and Nt's conversation in car,
DEV: Nainu, I don't know what to do? Mujhe uski fikar h,
yeh baat tumhe bhi pata h na. Isliye mene usse kaha ki
she can't dance! But voh toh ulta mujhpar gussa ho gayi.
NT: Calm down Dev, yahan pregnant mein hun aur mood
tumhara kharab ho rha h.
Dev: tum dono beheno ne meri zindagi barbad krke rakh di
h. Ek ko manao dusri ruth jaati , dusri ko manao toh pehli
vaali ruth jaati h'.
NT looked at him angrily. He shut down his mouth instantly and
diverted his gaze on the road.
NT: Don't worry' I will try to make her understand. Hope
she listens.
FLASHBACK ENDS
NT held her hand and ask,
NT: kaisi h Geet? Pata h isne tujhe kitna miss kiya. (She
smiled and put her hand on her tummy pointing on the
baby)
Geet was really sad and gloomy today and NT can see that
clearly in her younger sister's eyes. She tried to cheer her up
by talking to her.
Geet just nodded in return.
NT: Achi h na? At least say it from your mouth. Acha sun
I have a surprise for you.
She said and Geet looked at her instantly sensing the Anxiety in
her voice.
She asked meekly: kya?
NT smirked and shouted looking towards the door.
NT: ANDAR AA JAO!!
Geet was perplexed. She was thinking who it might be?
'Maan, no yaar voh toh subah hi tujhse milkar gaye hen.
Toh fir kaun ho sakta h.. kahin'..' her thought was left in middle when
Two MONKEYS came inside.
Rahul and Raghav came inside smiling and holding two bouquets
of roses with a tag of GET WELL SOON ANGEL. 'As expected!'
Geet thought and shook her head. They extended their
bouquets towards her and she rolled her eyes and snatched the
bouquets from their hands and what happened next was
unexpected!
Geet looked at the flowers and then looked at both of them one
by one with expressionless eyes and then suddenly her eyes
become red and she throw the bouquets at both of them one by
one.
They both dodged and looked at her shockingly. Rahul tried to
protest and next thing Geet found near her was a water jug
which was empty, so she easily threw it on Rahul and he jumped
back, it broke near his feet. he shouted, "MUMMY, Geet tu
pagal ho gayi h kya?" Raghav was hiding behind Rahul and Geet
was throwing things at both of them.
First was the empty water jug, then a knife that was kept to
cut fruits on the table, then a glass, and much more things.
She started panting heavily due to weakness. NT who was
watchng seeing the scene in front of her, shut up instantly and
looked towards Geet worriedly.
NT: Geet tu theek h na? Paani pee le.
Rahul: didi paani ka jug aur glass toh humpar throw kar
diya. Bacha kahan h paani.
NT she shook her head and called nurse inside and asked her to
get the room clean and get a glass of water. Geet drank the
water slowly and rested her back on the pillow and held her
stomach with pain.
Geet: Kutton, Kaminon, You bas***ds, tum dono ki vajah se
aaj mein hospital mein hun.
She said this cluthching her stomach tightly with pain. A nurse
came in and looked at her watch and then took out an injection
filled with medicine inside and asked Geet show her hand.
She put her hand forward making faces. The nurse put the
injection in her hand. After 2 minutes Geet's pain was gone and
she was relieved. Rahul looked at her concerned,
Rahul: I am really sorry Geet, mujhe nahi pata tha ki un
samoson se teri tabyat kharab ho jayegi varna toh mein'.
Raghav: varna toh yeh do chaar samosan aapko apne haathon
se khilate.(NT and Raghav broke into fits of laughter)
Rahul: Abey sale tu fikar mat kar Geet ke saath hi tera
bed bhi lagega.
Raghav: Kyun kya karogey?
Rahul: TU ruk to sahi, hospital se bahar chal fir batata
hun ki kya karunga.
Raghav got scared of Rahul's intentions and went out saying he
is hungry and is going to canteen. NT was looking tired so Geet
asked her to go home.
NT went home with Rahul and Geet spent little time with
Raghav. He was telling her about the practices going on for the
competition and everyone is working so hard.
Jilian took her place and is dancing with Yash now. Geet was
happy as Jilian knew all of her steps so she could easily help
Yash with the steps.
Suddenly she got an idea and she ask Raghav to get her a
participation form.
Raghav: Kyun? Aapki toh tabyat theek nhi h na, you cant
participate in the competition.
He asked munching chips.
Geet: ohho, voh mujhe'. kuch dekhna h '.. and haan kal
tak dono jakar participation kara lena varna entry nhi
milegi on the competition day.
He nodded and again started telling Geet about what they do in
the academy, the whole day.
NEXT DAY
Armaan walked in her room with Dev, Maan and NT was present
in their room. Geet made angry face seeing Dev. Dev settled his
spectacles and cleared his throat and started,
Dev: Umm, Doctor ne kaha ki Geet will be discharged in
few hours.
Nt: wow, that's a great news! Acha huya I borught your
clothes from home, wait I will call a nurse, she will help
you to change.
Geet: didu, I am not a little kid , I will change myself
don't worry.
NT Smiled and gave her clothes and Geet moved the sheets
away and jumped out of the bed happily, 'yeah, HOME!!!,
yipieee.'
