We’ll know the real numbers when Netflix releases their data, they usually do that every six months.
The hype was definitely there, I saw the memes and all, but that could just be my algorithm feeding it to me.
Too early to say anything about cultural impact, that takes years to tell.
Personally, I found it pretty mid. Entertaining and easy to sit through, but nothing that sticks or sparks any real conversation. Decent effort for a debutant though, if he actually directed it himself and it wasn’t ghost directed by someone else.
I don't think so. I haven't seen the series, nor do I have any intention to. But my friends who watched it really liked it.
So, I do think people are genuinely enjoying the show.
Well you bet 🙃

He did direct it himself...but he certainly got advices throughout the preparation... Aryan worked on the series for several years with inputs not only from Bilal and Manav expanding the script he already wrote in LA as graduation-work... his working through directing advertisements and additional inputs during the making of his father's movies also had been a good preparation. His big forte is a very clear mind of what he wants to show and why exactly this way and having the patience to get what he wants...
Well duh, SRK fans were working overtime over that flopOriginally posted by: Sorry_Bol
Social Media is going gaga over Aryan Khan's directorial debut but do the numbers back it up? They don't. Infact it's Viewership numbers are dismal to say the least with just 2.8 million views worldwide in Week 1.
Week 1: 2.8 million views | 14.8 million viewing hours | Rank 4
Week 2: 3.2 million views | 16.9 million viewing hours | Rank 4
Week 3: 1.4 million views | Rank 10
Total: 7.4 million views
Compare that to Bobby Deols Aashram:S3 that arrived earlier this year with 9.6 million views in Week 1 and 33 million views in 4 weeks. And that's just in India, not globally.
Indian Netflix shows that you might not have even heard of opened to higher number than BOB in the past year or two.
The Royals: 3 million views
Heera Mandi: 4.5 Million Views
The Kapil Show: 3.5 million Views/Episode
Infact, Suhana & Khushi's Archies did 5.2 million views in Week 1.
BOB won't even make the top 10 Hindi OTT Shows by Viewership 2025, which includes Stalwarts like Aashram,Paatal Lok & Panchayat but also unknowns like Kaneda & Khakhee: The Bengal Chapter.
The numbers clearly don't back up the lopsided hype. The show might be good/great, but the social media hype is clearly the PR machinery at work...based on numbers alone.
All the talk is definitely PR machinery. I have not heard any of my friends mention it. Numbers are also not great. The series was just okay. Nothing sticked out in a good way , but few did in a bad way. There was no need to keep those.
