Thanks for sharing.Will watch it.😊
Friends please keep sharing about good webseries
Didn't read the post comments in case there are spoilers. I've watched episode 1 and thought it was interesting. It was already disturbing though 😔
Kohrra was a mixed bag for me. I had a lot of expectations with the rave reviews. But while it is a good show, it sometimes misses the mark for me. I also kept comparing it to the last dark mystery that gripped me - School of Lies.
Both shows use bait-and-switch narratives. School of Lies opens about a missing child but transforms into a tale about bullying and abuse at hostels. Kohrra opens with a murder but transforms into a tale about toxic and abusive men, particularly bad fathers.
Even though you don't know Shakti Salgaonkar, caring for a missing child is easy. The show also gives us enough backstory about Shakti and never loses sight of the mystery. But it is harder to care for Paul a random adult we barely know. We get glimpses of Paul's traumatic childhood that make us care. But then the show often abandons the mystery for characters struggling with their own demons.
In School of Lies, I felt a lot of sympathy for TK and Vikram and their toxic traits. The men in Kohrra are far less sympathetic. I think it is intentional. The show wants to drive how fathers, with their rigid expectations, can break children and push them to the bring. And the actors do a fantastic job. But it is bleak and mentally taxing.
The show's many meandering subplots are a mixed bag as well. I could see why Balbir's relationship with his daughter provided a parallel to the investigation. Throughout the narrative, we see how the relationship between Steve and his son Paul mirrors Balbir with his daughter.
But I did find Garundi's affair with his sister-in-law baffling. His brother knew about it? What parallel did that have to the plot? Similarly, what was the point of Balbir's relationship with Indira?
The twist at the end did not surprise me at all. I knew it was coming since the first flashback scenes. I guess I have a good eye for certain subtexts.
Overall, its Kohrra is a good show and worth watching. But I don't think it fully meets some of the rave reviews.

Same. I always look forward to reading RTH's comments, but I am trying to ignore it for now in case of spoilers 😅

I love it❤️Tilottama too posted about it and I saw her post when I was mid epi 1, which got me more intrigued 🙈 It's a good who duunit, I like the way it was revealed, not sure exactly how much I love the reveal.
Not a Punjabi but it was surreal to hear the language without its Bollywood-isation.
Didn't really like Sobti 's character's family dynamics but the SI had a great backstory.
