Reasons IT cell is against 83:

- Its maker Kabir Khan supported CAA protests. And had reportedly praised Mughals once.

- It has Deepika who is on target of IT cell ever since she visited JNU.

- It has probably a scene showing Pakistan stopped firing when India won WC. That is being seen as pro Pak propaganda by pseudo nationalists.

- It is using SSR bots to target Ranveer Singh claiming he mocked SSR in an ad.

Amused how Ranveer was not spared despite selfie with PM and this film was not spared despite Kapil Dev being close to BJP, RSS and meeting Mohan Bhagwat.

I really wish film fraternity members would stop pandering to the evil powers just to mark themselves safe or with intention to gain favors from the govt… all this only gives validity the corrupt govts and their actions… cause no matter one does they will remain a “paltu” aur paltu ki koi izzat Nahin hoti

Cannot agree more.. he is really brilliant and really unfortunate that movie didnot do well on BO.. it deserves all awards and Blockbuster tag...

Ranveer was brilliant in the movie 👏

I will watch the movie on OTT once again only for Ranveer ..

I think this is one of reasons why some criticised 83 for zabardasti dragging Pak in the story. There was no need to include references to Pak or forcefully add something which never happened in real life just to forcefeed so called message of Indo Pak unity.
