Television actress Sanchita Ugale, who appeared in shows like Kumkum Bhagya, passed away on June 14. The 22 year old actress was found dead at her residence in Nalasopara, Palghar district, Maharashtra. According to reports, she was alone at home when the incident took place around 7 pm. The police are investigating the matter, while the exact circumstances that led to her death are yet to be confirmed.

Following her demise, allegations of alleged harassment have emerged from her close friend and actress Indraxi Kanjilal. She claimed that Sanchita faced mental harassment from her Saajan Ghar co star Ujjwal Sharma, who played her character’s on screen partner. Indraxi also questioned claims that Sanchita was struggling because of issues related to her past relationship.

Speaking to TellyChakkar, Indraxi alleged, "Ujjwal had apparently borrowed money from Sanchita and later behaved rudely with her. When she asked him to return the money, he lashed out, humiliated her, and even threatened to hit her. I have screenshots of their chats where he used inappropriate language and insulted her."

Indraxi further claimed that Sanchita had raised concerns about the alleged behaviour during the shooting of Saajan Ghar. She said, "Sanchita did complain about the harassment and everything she was going through to the concerned heads. However, she eventually realised that nothing was going to change, which is why she decided to walk away from the show."

Addressing Ujjwal’s reported comments about Sanchita’s personal life, Indraxi said she was "appalled" that he spoke about the actress’s previous relationship. She questioned his understanding of Sanchita’s emotional state, stating that he was not close enough to comment on her personal matters.
