Some of it is due to this ad, supposedly. They think this is somehow targeting SSR because he loved physics (but like you said, it's the IT cell not real fans of his that have made this an issue)

Dude is brilliant when given a meaty role. Even in Sooryavanshi his presence was electric and he overshadowed Ajay and Akki in their scenes together

Reasons IT cell is against 83:

- Its maker Kabir Khan supported CAA protests. And had reportedly praised Mughals once.

- It has Deepika who is on target of IT cell ever since she visited JNU.

- It has probably a scene showing Pakistan stopped firing when India won WC. That is being seen as pro Pak propaganda by pseudo nationalists.

- It is using SSR bots to target Ranveer Singh claiming he mocked SSR in an ad.

Amused how Ranveer was not spared despite selfie with PM and this film was not spared despite Kapil Dev being close to BJP, RSS and meeting Mohan Bhagwat.

It was such a lovely scene for which the entire theater erupted in joy and support. It’s not Pro Pakistan but Pro Peace! But the agenda driven, toxic shit holes will never let the peace have a chance and keep having a problem with any effort being made on either side of the border.

Who cares? The film is Big time Flop
