Shraddha Kapoor's Eetha and Rajkummar Rao's Prahaar's first look to be out with Cocktail 2?

As Cocktail 2 gears up for its theatrical release in just three days, the buzz surrounding the Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is only getting louder. Riding high on its popular franchise value, star-powered cast, youthful appeal, and hit soundtrack, the romantic entertainer is expected to open big at the box office. But that's not all. If industry chatter is anything to go by, audiences could be in for an additional treat when they head to cinemas this weekend.

Sources indicate that Maddock Films is planning to unveil the teasers of two of its most anticipated upcoming projects, Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story and Eetha, alongside Cocktail 2.

While an official confirmation is still awaited, the move would be in line with Maddock's successful promotional strategy of attaching high-profile previews to major releases.

Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story stars Rajkummar Rao as celebrated special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. Directed by Avinash Arun, the film also features Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher in key roles. Scheduled to hit cinemas on August 7, the film is expected to showcase one of Rajkummar's most compelling performances to date.

Joining it is Eetha, a biographical drama led by Shraddha Kapoor. Directed by Laxman Utekar, who recently delivered Chhaava, the film sees Shraddha step into the shoes of legendary Marathi Tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar. Co-starring Randeep Hooda and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, the film is slated for a Raksha Bandhan release on August 28.

A source close to the development shared that the final decision has yet to be made, but there is a strong possibility that both teasers will feature Cocktail 2. Maddock has followed a similar strategy before, unveiling the Bhool Chuk Maaf teaser with Chhaava, the Shakti Shalini announcement asset with Thamma, and the Chhaava teaser with Stree 2.

Trade insiders are particularly optimistic about both projects. While Prahaar is being positioned as an intense and gripping legal drama, Eetha promises to present Shraddha Kapoor in one of the most transformative and challenging roles of her career.
