Hey y'all!
It was really heart warming to read so many diverse opinions in an open discussion forum, without any wars... 😆
I love you all for putting forward your points of view and responding to my questions. ❤️ Thank you very much guys... 😊
@ delena90..."Frankly, they should have done a court marriage and not focused on either of their religions. At the end of the day religion should be the least defining character of any human being. You can still have a party with friends and family without having to do all the "rasams". Also, in India, Aditya and Zoya would have had to get married under the Special Marriage Act, unless one of them converts."
I agree with you about the after party and court marriage as per the Indian laws. 😊 Religion being the most defining character of a person is a little debatable. I feel that religion gives an identity and a pathway...but then again people misuse religion for many inhumane activities... so thats why many people now believe that its all religion's fault and religion teaches intolerance. 😊 Thanks a lot for your input dear... ❤️
@ Sweeties8 :"It could be because of the concept! The concept of two people coming together whose respective spouses had affair is very very unusual. Adding that these two people belong to two different religions makes it even rarest of rare? So it would add some weight to the concept"
What a wonderful thought! Yes...this could be the reason! ⭐️ Thanks a lot for your valuable comment... 😃❤️
@ jumz86 : "My two cents on this topic
1. They didn't need to show her as Muslim..maybe they did it as an excuse to have her speak Urdu which would make her even sweeter and more appealing? Breaking out of the Maya image maybe
2. This has nothing to do with her religion, but I don't understand why majority Indian TV serials show new brides as saree donning mangalsutra wearing bahus...Zoya was married previously too, and she didn't change her dressing style, why change it now? Do all women throw out their wardrobe post marriage? The only thing I did differently post marriage was to add a wedding ring on my finger...other than that my wardrobe went right with me to my husband's home... It annoys me to no end to be honest..."
Hii buddy.. Yes... Image breaking of Maya Mehrotra could be the intent too... 👍🏼
I knowww yar! Nobody has to give up their dressing style just because they are married! 😆😆 I didnt too... 😃
@ Devakshilover : "If it's for the betterment of humanity then what's the problem?Ganga was being polluted by the Durga Idols after visarjan so the government banned it and made artificial ponds for submerging the idols I have no problem in that being a Hindu because I believe in be good and do good and for me my country is greater than my religion "
Hiii buddy... I dont know much about the Hindu rituals...but I get your point. 😊
See the thing is this, that religion should not be altered. There are exceptions to this in Islam also, but very rare. Mostly its a prescribed set of dos and donts from Quran and Hadith and thats what should be IDEALLY followed. But this does not happen... and Man ends up altering religion according to his needs. His alterations can produce good results...but they can backfire too... Religion is not man-made in my view. 😊 This is my my point of view and it is probably different than yours... but no problem...Thats the beauty of this world, isnt it? Diversity and Tolerance for each other! 😃❤️
@ Dragonfly : Yes yes... I agree with your point... 😃 Trps and making Zoya different from other FLs of ITV seems like a plausible reason...👍🏼
@ IFLove... Anujaaa! My buddy! 😆😆 Yea yea..I get your point totally... Its because we need to see diverse festivals that might end up adding to more drama and thrill! 😃👍🏼 Well said bro...Thank you.
@ deeps07 ... Hii friend... Thank you for the input. I may not completely agree with you about the progressive society because I do feel that an Islamic Marriage Law has been hampered...but that does not mean that i hate the show or the makers or I dont respect your Point of view... 😃❤️ Lots of love to you.
@ Saumya0211 : I love your point about "Unity in Diversity!" Very well said! 👏👏
@ Flame : Thanks a lot for your input dear. You do make a lot of sense... ⭐️👍🏼
@ shabla : Thank you buddy.. It was a very eloquent reply... 👏
@ kiruravi : Thanks dear... I get your points... 👍🏼 My point was never about Adi becoming or converting to Islam or Zoya converting to Hinduism, which she probably cannot as shes not a born Hindu (as expained by Flame). I dont want anybody to change in the show. I just wondered that what could have been the reason for showing Zoya from a different religion when they could have made her from the similar religion as of Yash and Adi. I have received very noce replies to my question now... and I am happy and satisfied with the outcome of this discussion. 😃😃⭐️
@ Cherryfairy... Yes yes... court mariage would have been the safest option i guess! 😆😆 Thanks for the input ⭐️
@ Cloudcaverns : Aaah! A white wedding! Would have been great to watch and I think that would have truly justified the concept of neutralizing inter-faith marriages. A muslim and a Hindu marrying each other Christian style.. 👍🏼⭐️ Wonderful thought!
@ enlightenme : I agree with most of your points buddy..and your research was right. Inter-faith marriages are allowed in certain conditions. If the man is muslim and the girl is a christian or a jew, then Inter-faith marriage can be done. Ideal situation would be if the girl converts to Islam. However, A muslim girl marrying into any other religion is considered invalid because of the fact that the nasal (children) go with the man's religion, and not the woman's. Besides there are certain other factors involving marriage laws. There is no debate about it because thats how it is. 😊😊 And these are not my views... I am just stating some facts regarding Islam because thats the only religion I know in detail. If there are any rules and laws in ay other religions, I respect them all.. and would not want any religion's laws to be hampered or disresected in any way.Hope that clarifies my stance. 😊❤️
@ Missy-rc : Very well said... I agree with you and understand your points totally! 👏😃
