Welcome to the weekly analysis thread, where we dissect the heck out of the characters, situations, and the possibilities for the leap! This thread is dedicated to in-depth character and story analysis in this new phase of the show. Let's explore how the show, in its complexity makes us think. We leave the thread open-ended so that we can discuss varied topics with each other in a more informal way, and new thread begins every Sunday evening for ongoing discussions as the week unfolds. If you are interested in this exercise, jump right in!

_____________

Everyone is invited to join as long as they avoid:

1. Moral policing. This thread should be an inclusive and safe space for people to express their views. This is a work of fiction and multiple interpretations only make it a richer experience. If something about the show makes you uncomfortable, be open to the idea that you might be missing the necessary perspective that someone else could provide.

2. Bashing CVs. Criticism is welcome, but should be focused and constructive.

3. Bashing the characters, or pitting them against one another. If you think either the Dixits or the Boses are entirely right, and the other entirely to blame, this is not the thread for you.

And most importantly...

4. BASHING OR PERSONAL INSULTS OF OTHER MEMBERS

This means we accept other people's viewpoints with respect, and don't call them names for not agreeing with us. Either we continue the argument calmly, supported by examples from the show, or we respectfully agree to disagree and leave that discussion alone.

Hi
I think I am First. 😊😊😊

Now Coming to our new thread. I would like to put the certain points which get highlight in the previous week.

First Some how I am able to see the change in the Dev and Sona's behavior and there body language . At the Initial episodes they just what to show there anger to each other so they don't care about there surrounding But the things get changed after the dev's attack. Some how there mask was off and they see each other's suffering and pain and the same thing get highlighted in the last week in the different forms.

Dev - Sona- Ishu shot is hold the more importance from future point of view. For the first time sona decided to speak against the Ishu's manipulation openly and dev was able to hear it and understand it because he is aware about his mother's nature..

Ishu is once again back to square one where due to sona's entry in dev's life she want to control dev again and in this process dev is getting more and more detached to her but once again Ishumata don't care about it.

Mami and vikki is back and now they will work in the favor dev and sona.

Jatin and sona conversation also hold the importance because for the first time jatin able to see the real reason of sona's no to marriage and tactful he shows the same to sona.

And last but the most important a father meets his angle and mostly in Monday's episode he get to know the soha's truth and need confrontation between two bleeding soles about there pain.

So Once again Thanks for New Thread. 😊😊😛

As we have moved on here, so will be posting my view from the previous discussions.

@jasw Sorry i will be interrupting in the conversation, but i would like to share my views on "making Dev independent" issue. Firstly i didn't liked Bijoy-Sona talk related to it bcz it was more of like making a mumma's boy into henpecked husband.
Secondly, Sona wanted to make Dev independent and have a their own exclusive world in their room, which is not at all a bad thing. But her way of doing it was problematic. Instead of telling him to do all by himslef, If she would have helped Dev with his wardrobe, things would have been different. Both of them would have their shared time and a thing which was their own without Ishwari's interference.

Hope no one will be offended with my sudden interruption in the conversations. Just wanted to share my views regrading it. 😊

Here problem is that she was comparing the bose culture with dixit . She fail to understand the difference in the two houses or may be she has understood and what to change it. Once again the Ishu's dominance in dev and sona's personal space was bothering her and she started to bring the change which fails and increased the ishu's insecurities.

Same applies to dev he also fail to understand the difference in the both houses.

A big and heartfelt thanks to Sam and DQ for creating this space to have these wonderful discussion. Also kudos to all members for the amazing write ups and perspectives.

Following up on previous thread regarding Sonakshi, wanted to share my thoughts. It was very interesting to read about her and am still trying to understand her. The main theme of discussion was around Sonakshi and her inability to be vocal about her true feelings. It is clear that she was that way from the beginning and needed someone to coax it out of her. But was her being closeted about her feelings an inherent behavior or was that the result of Bijoy's continuous want of independence and autonomy in her.

I feel the reason is the latter more than the former. Sonakshi idolized Bijoy and did not want to let him down. She wanted him to be proud of her and wanted to prove to him that she was perfect as he wanted her to be. That she would always excel in any challenge and role she plays. I am not against Sonakshi or dislike her. I am just trying to better understand the parenting a person should do. I mean I have two kids and although I want them to be independent, I also want them to be happy with their choice even if it is not my choice and I usually support them wholeheartedly in that. But there are also times when I want them to just follow what I said. Somehow I do not feel Bijoy's parenting was flawless.

The parenting style that I liked to most is that of Asha's. She is the best. A perfect blend of friend and guide and also knows where to intervene or where to draw the line.

Regarding Ronita I agree that her entry in Bose house opens up a whole new dimension of relationship. I am more curious regarding the dynamics between Bijoy and Ronita. No doubt Asha will be a wonderful MIL and give her that necessary space and place in their family. But will Bijoy be able to accept her as his daughter and share that position with her.

Waiting eagerly to see how the story unfolds... 😃

Nice topic for discussion Shaavi.
Have you felt that Saurabh dada is the Neha in Bose house? The rebel who put his foot down and was forthright in telling he will live as he pleases. The difference in the financial status and also the presence of Dida and Asha have had its own impact on him. His nature is more like Asha's and the frustrations of his fathers taunts were lessened by the understanding and support his mother gave while Neha got that from maami.

See the point is that there is nothing wrong to put the expectations out in front of your spouse. Sona wanted to keep the privacy of their bedroom and wanted this closet sorting their own. She wanted yo give dev sometime to see and try if he can do it himself and ofcourse she would have helped him if he asked or told her it is difficult for him to do it.. this happens all the time between husband and wife . One will set the expectation and if the other cant meet it they talk it out and work it out. Problem here is , dev resorted to lying and cheating with help of his mother and continued to accept the credit from sona until
He got caught red handed... no wife (i say again .. no wife )would tolerate this behavior. It is like insulting their relationship infront of others.
If the expectations ate not right then discuss it with the spouse and sort it out rather than lying and cheating. I can ask my husband to buy me a yatch but it is his responsibility to argue that we dont need a yatch and makr me agree to something like we can go on a cruise sometimes...
