Arjun Rampal confirmed his engagement to longtime partner Gabriella Demetriades during an appearance on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast Chapter 2, turning a casual conversation into an unexpected personal announcement.

The actor, currently enjoying the strong box office run of Dhurandhar, spoke about relationships, grief and parenting during the discussion. While the episode focused on emotional healing and second chances, it also revealed a new chapter in Rampal’s personal life.

The moment surfaced after Rhea shared a teaser from the episode. Gabriella said, “We’re not married now, but who knows?” Rampal immediately followed it up with, “We are engaged! We just broke it on your show,” confirming the news without any buildup.

Rampal and Gabriella have been together since 2019 and are parents to two sons, Arik and Ariv. On the podcast, the couple spoke openly about how parenthood reshaped their understanding of love and commitment.

Gabriella reflected on conditional affection and said, “Your love comes with conditions, it’s like if a person behaves this way, then get my approval or love. But when you have a child, you can’t do that, right?” Her comment highlighted how parenting brought emotional clarity into their lives.

Rampal also spoke about personal loss and the impact of losing his mother Gwen in 2018. “Support when you lose your parents, nobody can prepare you for. So, I always say losing a parent is liking losing a limb,” he said, describing grief as a lasting absence.

The tone briefly shifted when Gabriella joked about her first impression of Rampal, saying she did not approach him because he was “really hot.” Rampal responded with honesty, saying, “No, no. I went after her because she was hot, then I realised there is a little more to it than just the hotness.”
