Precap: Jodha sleeps with dadisa, jalal sneaks in they share a intimate moment. Jodha accepts the condition to stay in the same room with him for the following night.
Sun rays fell on jodha, she covered her face with her hand as the scorching sunlight was hampering her beauty sleep. Last night was adventurous...jalal coming to her room and the intimate moments they shared after that got imprinted on her heart, her mind was playing that scene on repeat.
It was all new for her, being a fiery princess and being in love were two poles apart thing, doesn't matter how much sword fighting she had done till now...this war was not so easy to conquer and get over with.
"Jodha jiji...utho!" an amused shivani shuddered jodha's thought process and she woke up with a fit. After seeing shivani her face changed expressions...from being shocked to a relax one. Before she could say anything she realized she has been holding the bedsheet from both the hands, her face flushed and she immediately got out of the bed. Shivani was surprised at her elder sister reacting like she had a memory loss. "Jiji aap theek toh ho na?" a caring shivani tapped her shoulder.
Jodha got alert "Haan hum bilkul theek hai...par tum itni subah yaha kaise?"
"Hume toh laga aap uth gayi hongi"
"Aisa kyu laga tumhe"
"Kyunki aap hamesha jaldi uthti hai jiji aur fir humei uthaane aati hai"
"Manushya ke jeevan mein badlaav hona bhi zaruri hai" "Aur lagta hai ye badlaav jiju sa ke kaaran aaya hai!" Jodha closed her eyes to suppress the agony about to escape her mouth on the very mention of his dear husband. She took her clothes and straightaway went inside the "hamaam" surprising her little sister. Making sure no single daasi enters the vicinity she got into the water and then poured buckets of water over her head to calm herself from the thoughts. She roughly removed the water drops from her face with both the hands and then rested her back towards the tub. "Yeh humei kya ho raha hai, kyun hum itna vichlit mehsoos kar rahe hain..." last night moments came into her mind and she remembered what jalal had said about sleeping in one room. "Hey kanha! Kal hamare beech jo bhi hua kahin uske baad unhe yeh toh nahi lag raha ki aaj bhi..." her mind blushed but her face didn't express what words were about to spill out. Thinking much over it she decided to go and talk out this matter to his Oh so daring husband. She quickly came out of the hamaam and dressed herself. After getting ready she went out to do tulsi pooja in the aangan as per her set routine, though her mantras were correct and proper but her mind was scattered...and it was just covered by HIS thoughts HIS presence and HIS touch! It was next to impossible for her to deny the effect he had on her, only she knew how she managed to pull out such ignoring stunts pretending that everything is fine but it's actually not when he sees her with that piercing gaze and sexy smirk! That hell of a beast thinks he can just come so close to her, like almost kissing her and go away? Why on earth he didn't grab her and took her into the room and killed the keys forever?? "Baisa paani khatam ho gaya hai" a sober voice came from a corner interfering in jodha's pooja or well ahem thoughts! "Huh?" a confused jodha looked at her then saw what stupid thing she was doing, standing their offering water which has by now finished in the lota' she immediately kept her hands down and took the thaali from her hand. Humei shenshah se baat karni hogi...unhe prasaad bhi de denge she strolled towards her room to find him. It was different for her to go in her own room like a guest, she stood at the entrance and for one slight second the thought of her denials towards his advances unsettled her mood, she was feeling bad for him...the way she was ignoring him was not good, after all he was her husband and this was her palace, she should have treated him well here at least regardless whatever issues they had. Taking a deep breath she walked inside but to her surprise there was nobody in there. She gave a look in all the corners but didn't locate him. Shayad woh bahar sabke saath baithe honge nodding a approval to her mind she went outside in the big hall where she thought everybody must be having the breakfast. "Maasa aapne inhe kahin dekha?" she found him missing at the table too...he was nowhere near to her, which was quite weird for her to think so she asked her mother directly guessing she would know about him. "Humne unhe abhi upar ki taraf jaate dekha tha jodha, kya hua kuch baat hui kya?" her mother replied back.
"Nahi maasa kuch nahin, hum aate hain" jodha just went upwards.
He was sword practicing at the terrace, the sounds of his moves alerted jodha and she thought to stand there and observe his mood first. When jalaluddin mohammad practices he goes in a different world of power and aggression which reflects in his every moment. Jodha was seeing him from far away...his dedication and devotion evoked something inside her
Jo bhi hua hamare beech hum dono ki galti thi par woh shenshah hai, unhe haq hai yaha se jaane ka apni praja ke paas, apni gaddi ke paas...par woh yaha hamare pati bane hue hai...haan pati...kyuki shenshah hote toh ab tak kabke jaa chuke hote
Her motive was a little shaken due to which she came here so she simply turned to go from the terrace when he heard a voice from behind "Jodha begum" she turned 180 degree and saw her man standing there before her. She looked at him for seconds, clueless of what to say and how to begin her eyes fell on the thaali, she immediately forwarded it to him and he took the aarti, his penetrating gaze not leaving her and her vision was stealing it from him. He placed his hand over his head which reminded her to apply tika and she did it, all the time her gaze was disturbing jalal. "Aap theek hain?" he inquired.
"Jee hum theek hain, hum toh bas yeh aarti dene aaye the aapko" jodha replied.
Her tone was calmer this time unlike before.
"Aur kuch nahi kehna aapko jodha begum?" jalal tried to unfold her by taking a step towards her. This was a very bad timing of jalal closing up to her as it strucked her eyes that her man is upper naked infront of her. His hard built and the empowering shadow are a threat to her controlled emotions or desires, which she feels for him. She looked down and answered, "N-nahi toh...humei kuch nahi kehna" she weakly assured him. She stepped back and went to the door of the terrace, her heart thomped louder at the promixity she just shared with him, closing her eyes for a second she relaxed a bit then gathering herself she turned again to face him, jalal was just looking at her...trying to predict her actions he narrowed his brows. She walked upto him, looked in his eyes and replied straightaway "Humei lagta hai aapko apni praja ke paas chale jaana chahiye, unhe zaroorat hai aapki" she bombed her words on him making him shocked. He was thinking just about her the whole day, he thought she also wants the same but instead of that she wants to kick him out of the palace? Is that all she was trying to say? Is his exit the only thing she wants to talk about? These questions made his mind a mess. Jodha turned away and started walking towards the door, she wasn't strong enough to handle this situation.
"Aap seedhe se kyun nahi kehti ki aap humei yaha se bahar nikaalne aayi hai" jalal retorted back. Jodha paused in her tracks, she turned and replied back in a much stronger tone "Hum kaun hote hai apne pati ko mahal se nikaalne waale?"
Jalal advanced towards her "Shukr hai aapne humei apna pati toh samjha" anger flooded in his eyes.
"Kaash aapne humei bhi nikaalne se pehle apni patni samjha hota" she threw the final dagger at him, with tears starting to surface in her eyes she quickly left the place leaving jalal stoned behind.
Walking near the window of the room jodha rubbed her left hand on her right arm to control the tears which were ready to flow out. She thought it is the best thing she had done till now...asking him to leave from here as why he should waste time on her when there are important things to be solved in agra? Ofcourse he must be present there as a shenshah not sit here in amer as his husband! But her heart was not ready to accept his absence around her, yet again.
It wanted to do some things which every girl desires in her life, swing in the arms of her man...hug him like there is no tomorrow...rest her head on his chest and not care about the world.
All these things were not meant to be in jodha's world. She closed her eyes and tears came out of it...she let them flow down her face expecting her heart to touch them and accept the reality.
"Hum kya kar rahe hai abhi tak iss mahal mein? Jodha begum ne apna faisla suna diya hai humei toh fir kyu hum apna waqt unke peeche zaaya kar rahe hai!" jalal was blurting his anger out on the terrace. His heart was aching because of jodha's daggers, couldn't she see how hard he was trying for them to get back together? If yes then why she said such harsh things to him?
"Kya unhe hamari koi parvaah nahin..." he was simply hurt by what she had said...he thought to find answers but her words were continuously ringing in his mind
"kaash aapne humei nikaalne se pehle apni patni samjha hota...aapko apni praja ke paas chale jaana chahiye...hum kaun hote hai aapko nikaalne waale..."He walked till their room and saw her there...stepping out...her face was dull but her eyes were not displaying the affection he wanted to see in them...a strange emotion instead...she left from there while jalal was looking at her throughout, then he entered the room.Jodha blankly went into sukanya's room as she had been married, this space could be used by anyone. She got into the bed and laid herself beneath the quilt, she closed her eyes trying hard...so that sleep takes over them. He was going to leave soon and it was better for her to not see him go away from her.
It was evening and both jalal and jodha had not even once saw a glimpse of each other...he was in their room while she was in the other, sleeping. Jalal had talked to both raja bharmal and mainavati about him leaving the palace soon, they protested but he faked up some important reasons and they permitted him to leave."Raja ji jodha begum itne mahino baad aap sabse mili hain, hum chaahenge ki woh kuch aur din aap logon ke saath rahe aur fir...laut aaye" jalal said to the couple though knowing she would never return."Bahut shukriya shenshah, humei bhi jodha ke saath kuch waqt mil jayega" raja bharmal smiled and looked at mainavati who was extremely happy.Jalal went to get ready in the room. He splashed the water on his eyes, looked in the mirror but they had some soreness hidden beneath...going away from jodha was making his heart die. But he knew one thing, he won't make any advances now. Enough done now his pride was at stake and he knew how to keep it well.
After 3 hours
Shivani was turning restless...jodha had been asleep for too long now. She finally decided to wake her up.
"Jiji utho! Dekho raat hone ko aayi hai!" she patted the quilt under which her sister was sleeping. Jodha opened her eyes in sleepy mode and slid half of her quilt down...she sat on the bed and cleaned her face with both the hands.
Suddenly she realized something and her face fell "Shivani!"
"Haan...?" shivani got disturbed watching her sister's changed expressions "Jiji..? Kya hua?" she kept her hand on her shoulder.
Jodha looked at her in horror and asked "Shenshah..?"
Shivani understood and sat beside her sister, held her hand and replied "Aap fikar mat kariye jiji...jiju sa toh ab tak agra pahuchne waale honge"
Her words didn't made any difference to jodha...she was already petrified by trying to believe that he is gone.
How could he?? How could he just leave her forever? Did he??
Now it was almost unstoppable for her tears to not flow down, she never wanted this in her life, to see her love going away or rather to make him do that...it was the worst thing ever. Her mind was blasting with the decision...as she slept few hours ago...she thought it was a bad dream and she would wake up in her room...but tables had turned, now it was just a fragile girl sitting in her palace filled with luxuries, but still mourning.
For her Love.
