so after 6 years a even a little bit of improvement with commercial success looks like she got better.

She actually improved but she is a director's actress..and when you have a director like farah khan expect her to go back to OSO days

I think the second option is true to some extent..not just with Deepika. I have seen a lot actresses get praise for their acting just because the film was a hit when their performances was not that great. Not going to name names as I don't want a create fan wars/unnecessary arguments.

Yeah, she has improved but I liked only two of her performances - Cocktail and YJHD. 😃 And yes, I've seen all of her work except Kochadaiyyan.

Back to Deepika..I think RL was her film that I didn't like her that much in and she was appreciated more because it was a SLB film plus it was a hit.

She was good in YJHD, CE, and Cocktail..but if these films were not hits..I don't think anyone would have cared for her. Even in Coctaik there are some scenes that I didn't like her in. Same with CE.

One thing that works big time for Deepika is her beauty more than her acting. She looks stunning in CE, YJHD and RL.

That said..she did improve as an actress...but like many said she still needs to work on her dialogue delivery and in some scenes..her acting is still cringe worthy. Like in CE when she is sleep walking..that's more of a pathetic acting than funny. And in HNY trailer when she says dancing is Art..very bad acting!

are u talking about the scene where her and srk are in bed and she sleep talks, has a dream???? She was brilliant in that scene. That was one of the funniest and best scenes of the film..

DP was simply awful in her earlier films. She has immensely improved. I became her fan after Cocktail and not just because the film is a hit. She was actually brilliant in that film. She was a pathetic actress in BAH, LAK, etc. Cringeworthy but today she's a good actress. Loved her in Cocktail, CE and yjhd, she nailed her roles.

I dislike everything about RL
