Spice Girls Hangout: Nearing the end of the MU?

Sari, thanks for opening the weekend edition of the hangout. We missed you at the live thread yesterday!🤗

After a fairly decent week with a 60% hit rate, I liked the ME. Yup the initial part was kinda insipid but this time I let the recency effect get to me.

I am glad that I held judgement on Khushi yesterday because she did have a plan though a pretty shaky one frankly. A plan that hinges on shyaam divulging the truth has no foundation and she should know that.

Getting Arnie to sign the papers the way she did was duping him and no two ways about that I think. Another thing where she is in the wrong and could come back to haunt her.

The airport scene was FABULOUS barring the fake airport itself. Barun and Sanaya yet again brilliant.

ASR is so clearly conflicted and it was great to hear his inner monologue. Then to hear him say it out aloud and tell Khushi that somewhere he had wanted to be proven wrong about her was just wow!

And Farak padta hai. FINALLY!! I don't think we are going to get any more closure on that sentence so I'll take what we got.

Khushi has clearly spelled just how important his opinion is to her. It's everything for her. Without that validation that he believes her there is nothing for her to live for.

Him coming back, her not wanting to let him go, the firm hand grasp, the begging for more time- if this is not love what is? Beautifully portrayed and made me sad to see two people so meant for each other and so far apart. Please guys figure things out, get together and maybe I can then sign-up for that 7:30pm salsa class after all

Arnav's redemption track is all set with a collage of FBs to play with. The next time they show a crappy epi maybe that's what we should do- discuss which FBs should be included in that track

Barun you better be coming back coz we really need to see what happens next and Arnav would not be the same without you. If nothing you owe us that hug which has been a long time coming.

This was the best mahaepisode, fortunately one that spoilers and SBS did not ruin for me. I was hooked from start to end, best of all there was no Bubbly!!

Surprise, I made it! Although I have to leave soon-ish lol! But, what an episode!!!! It was mindblowing!! Okay, I loved Khushi's "silent jabs" leaving the dabba business, not fighting for the washroom, all of it really bothering him, he really misses her sanak. Its what he fell in love with and its what will become his personal agenda to win back once he starts on his RTR.

So Khushi has brains!! The CVs have defs got the complains and have used the entire track since the marriage revelation to build her character more maturely and they're doing a great job. Although, something tells me Shyam has the papers.. it'll be one of those cliched moves where he notices mud outside the pot and starts snooping around... or maybe not, maybe he'll kidnap ASR, gloat, get the signs and kill him. Then again, why would Arnav sign the papers? He'd rather die than bring his family to the road, so I conclude with "Shyam has the papers and kidnapped him to kill him" and will gloat saying he took advantage of Khushi's desperate pleas in return for her innocence and this is where Arnav will learn the truth... and maybe the twist Sari is, that the will Shyam has is a false fake copy or something and then the battle of 2012 will begin between Shyam and ASR!!!!!!!😆😳

I really liked the Anjali-Khushi scene. It was his mom's birthday the next day and despite all that, he was still bothered about Khushi. When is that letter coming?? It will come once he's back from this escapade I think, because hopefully his RTR will start by then and the letter will help her, even though she'll forgive him easily, she'll just want to leave him after the 6 months because she'll feel she's in his space and he won't stop her because he'll be guilty, but he will work to bring her back with proper respect after that!

Awww the Mall/Airport scenes were perfect. In that crowd of crazy fandom, they executed their roles very well. Although, I'm going to give it to Sanaya today, stellar performance!! I always knew she'd break the fadak padta hai circle and she did with baby steps, its a start and he heard it loud and clear. I loved his brain vs. heart battle, Barun really emoted well. Alas, the screen going black made me sad.. But its just this week, Barun will be back in his ASR form mid next week!!

And that article posted above, Gurmeet did Geet and his film, so clearly this PH knows to accommodate so I'm pretty sure Barun is still on. Besides, I think there was another post today by 2 people also confirming from inside sources that he will be working simultaneously!

Mahahugs all 🤗. Sorry to have missed the watchathon gupshup, but duty called! First order of business - poll question: Who wants to join me and hit Arnav's head on a concrete wall and shake some sense into him? Your options:

A. Me, Me, Me!

B. Let's wait until after the almost hug when he returns.

C. What's the point - even the few grey cells he has will be smashed to smithereens?

Note: No is not an option!

-Pretty darn good ME --- a bit frustrating at first but it rounded off nicely. Big, big thanks to Savvy, LovearHi and Biraj for setting my expectations for the epi on the live update thread when I finally checked in. Their brief takes allowed me to enjoy the 40 odd minutes fully.

-The ArHi blaze was back - love, longing, intensity, desperation,

- The CVs meant business - only the 4 key players had starring roles.

- In a show of "almosts", we got ---what else? --- an "almost" confession. For the starving hordes even that tiny morsel seemed satisfying --- "almost"? Kyon ki farak padta hai damn it!

-Arnav is furiously sifting through the evidence, fighting a losing battle with ASR. But then we see Arnav best ASR and "almost" head back towards Khushi!

I "WILL" hold off on all my misgivings on the plot contrivances today. It seemed like the writers were admonishing cynics like me in the audience - I could "almost "see the collective finger wagging - "Just because we write our stories with dil, don't underestimate our dimaag."

Fair enough, I'll wait to see how this plays out --- even if while she took pictures how did the "Will" not get in the way!?! She whips out the pic to show shyam and again---- Never mind!

The mighty tycoonario ASR signs every page ---- "WILL" he not even glance at the page? Yes, Akaash who he trusts implicitly was to have sent the papers, but still...

I won't even start on "pot" a load of crap. I suspect there'll be plenty of time to fume about that soon enough.

It says something about how well I know the rhythms of this show. That paper that landed under Arnav's fake hermes shoes? --- Bwahahaha, knew that was a red herring right away. CVs you're so not messing with my mind ---but you did with my mood! Did we have to see those eyesore shoes in close up? Before anything else will someone get ASR a new pair of shoes before he returns? Nahin toh joothey padengey! As for Anjali "almost" walking in on Shyam trashing ArHi's room? No one in the audience fell for that one. When the big reveal comes and Anjali walks in to catch Shyam red-handed - no one will believe it. The CVs have cried wolf way too often with that one!

Ask and thou shall get (at least sometimes!). Yesterday, I wondered about Shyam's Khushi quest, today he let me know that pehle daulat mein khushi phir Khushi hi Khushi. I thought that was nicely written and well-acted by Abhaas. He will underestimate her (dimag, dil, righteousness, courage) at his peril. That seems like another pointed finger wag at the cynics in the audience --- Khushi is desperate, knows that the papers have the power to do evil, but if need be Khushi will step in and save the day. In a battle of good and evil, good may lose the battle but "WILL" win the war!

Today belonged of course to the awesome chemistry of Sanaya and Barun. When they bring it - we're goners! We can ignore even the most egregious plot holes. Today was "almost" one of those times.

We heard an instrumental version of the new sad wallah rabba ve! Sans lyrics - it "almost" had overtones of the Love Story theme music. Maybe that's why I'm having trouble with it --- "almosts" don't work for me!

CVs fair warning here: I'll be patient with you in Sobti's absence. I know how hard it'll be (esp for my sole sisters, I'll be on vacay some of the time!) but I'll do my best. But when Sobti is off the missing person list ---- I want a proper ArHi hug. The flying into each other's arms, wringing the breath out of you tight, I'm so relieved that the person who rocks my world is before me kind! NO MORE ALMOST!

That word needs to be scratched from the IPK vocabulary else the fans will "almost" certainly leave what was "almost" a terrific show!

The last 12 minutes made up for what was not such a explosive ME.

After making us wait 3 months for an ME, if the last 12 minutes hadn't happened, there would been mutiny on the forum.😆

So, the farewell to Arnie is done and true to PK tradition, he was in blue to match to occasion. That blue shirt is the biggest hint that a separation is coming up. The gust of wind blows and they sense each others presence. aww...😍

The biggest progress since the relevation happened today. No, it wasn't Khushi's semi-confession. It was Arnie's willingness to come back to her and listen to her. I don't remember any time since the show started where he has pronounced a wrong judgement on her and has stopped to listen to her appeals. He has always been sure of his decisions, his read of the situation and he has always pronounced her the culprit and walked away. And of course, he has been proved wrong. As I said in Tuesday' post, this time Arnav Singh Raizada wants to be wrong or rather wants to be proven wrong. It is almost as if he is rooting for her to prove him wrong. And wonders of wonders, he says as much to her.

"kahin ek hope thi ki tum mujhe galat saabit karti"

She doesn't want him to go. Not just because of her losing the chance to prove herself to him, but because she does not want him to be alone with his demons. Because, apparently, he does this every year. Hide out in a place on his Mother's birthday. If he was running from demons today, it wasn't his mom. For a man who is supposedly running from his mom's memories, his thoughts were entirely on Khushi throughout the day. He has an entire new set of demons to deal with and he doesn't even know the full extent of it yet.

The progress on Khushi's side is very subtle but definitely there. She is not shying away from the rabba ve's anymore as seen yesterday. She is not looking away, she is not walking away. every time she looks at him, there is an appeal in her eyes. And now it is Arnie walking away, looking away. And when he asks the question again, "kya farq padta hai?", there is no hestitation. There is just the truth,

Farq padta hai. Aapke ki baat hai isliye farq padta hai.
Koi aur hota to farq nahi padta. ...

Just like it is for him. If it was anyone but her on that terrace with Shyam, she would have been flicked away as so much dust. But Khushi thi isliye farq pada. Ah, these two.

He heard it, processed it but still chose to walk away.

"Mat jaaiye" ," aap sach much jaa rahe hain"

Barun!!!! "tussi na jao" The entire fandom cried with Khushi. 🤣

Liked all of the FBs they showed for Arnie as he walked away. Khushi's holi "almost" confession, His heer ranjha "almost" confession.

bas is baat ka matlab hai ki main hamesha, hamesha...

Well, Arnie boy is soon going to learn that jo bura kaha aur jo bura kiya , all that has a lot of matlab for him. After all, it is all adding to his RTR.

Khushi looked absolutely beautiful today. 👍🏼

Abhaas today reminded me of the Shyam of early IPK. The twitch is gone, he is very focused on his goal and Khushi is collatarel. "issi liye to hum aapse pyar karte hain Khushiji" was said more to remind her of the upperhand he has rather than the feeling. There is no pretence with Khushi anymore.

But the best line he had today was

Humen aane mein der hogi Khushiji. Warna aap dono ka waqt kaise badlega"

A sign that things are going to get better in Arhi land???

Anjali Dumbo Jha continues being herself.

PS: he is SO missing her Swami and other antics. 🤣 He keeps reminding her of it as if to instigate her to do it it. "Room change kar diya, yeh drama. In sabse mujhe koi farq nahi padta", Liar!!

Beautiful, heartbreaking ME was a perfect icing on the cake for a great week of IPK. I was dreading the ME with filler scenes of Bubbly but to my surprise not one scene. Can we have a hallelujah?!

This ME really highlighted the torment and heartache of two souls whose heart clearly beats for one another. Fantastic dialogues from Khushi again saying "Just because I am straightforward does not mean I am stupid". My heart sank a little when she got the signature but the follow up action by her to save the documents was brilliant.

Arnav is in absolute hell missing Khushi when she is around or not around. Her memories right from the silly antics to the ridge scene haunt him. Kudos to the CV's for having put in scenes that we thought as fillers as precious FB memories. 👏

Khushi on hearing the reason from Anjali, talks to herself and says he is already sad and his sorrow is increased because of me. She is worried only about the burden on her loved one. If this is not love what is? Beautiful emotions from Sanaya.

The last 10 minutes were brilliant with Barun and Sanaya at their best. Finally an answer to the Faraq Padta hein track when Khushi says only you matter and my breath will almost stop... The FB sequence as Arnav walks back in the last scene resonate only about love between the two with no ridge or terrace scene to mar the absolute love these two have for one another

Barun and Sanaya you rock and breathe such life into Arnav and Khushi that make the fictional characters an absolute reality.👏👏

Was all set to watch IPK at 5pm , who knew HP - The Deathly Hallows will be on at the same time? Well now, I don't have the television until HP is over.

Nice mahaepi today mainly cuz of the ArHi scenes and a strong Khushi!

The main scenes that stuck with me today were the last 10 mins at the airport. Im loving how finally Arhi are hving conversations!! The way she he gave her 10 mins because somewhere he hoped she was right and he was wrong loved that..he really does want her to be right..and the way she held his hand soo possessively wanting him to stay back. Then the fark padtha hai haii looved it..and saansein rukh jayengi aww Khushi u loove him soo much please Arnavji rukh jayeiyna..but alas he leaves and then the fbs were great!! He remembers good times like teri meri dance, holi and sleeping together at GH.the way he is tormented about why it hurts to go away from her..the rabba ve was well suite here but i dont want it to be used in every single epi..

Other parts i liked..the way Arnav misses khuhi fighting for the bathrrom in the morning..he is not liking a subdued khushi at all..

Also liked Khushi bein smart with the paper signing..but the pics she took on her phone can be used later i mean she can sms them to Arnav and tell him what shyam is trying to do maybe? Orrather maybe thatll just be paon pe kulhari as he will realize that he got them signed by fooling him..but yea the papers are no linger with Shyam and hidden in Arnav's plants hopefully he'll find them if Shyam doesnt force khushi to give them in return for Arnav..

I loved how when khushi came to the airport Arnav had that smile on his face at seeing her..ok one thing why the hell do u need an entry ticket to get into the airport..thats just stupid, i was soo mad!

And there really was no bubbly in todays epi right or did i just not notice?! That made it sooo much better.. rofl

Oo also loved how Arnav went close to her when all the ppl were pushing them around nice rabba ve there but a bit rushed..

Ok i think thats pretty much all my random thoughts i can recall from this morning..now to read everyone elses takes =)
