Abhay saw Pia walk in with Kabir with a different feel in Kabir's body language. He appeared too happy like the cat that got the cream. Abhay knew what this could only mean. They were an item but Pia's face was a dead giveaway. She wasn't as enthusiastic as Kabir was. She looked grim. Troubled almost. Abhay felt weird. He never felt emotional about anything other than satisfaction on his success rate in playing with his prey. Pia wasn't his prey. She was nothing to him. He didn't care about her. This was his new mantra. If he made his mind believe this then he wouldn't feel anything for her. He wasn't even interested in her until he'd tasted her blood. Now he paid the price for it. He should've heeded the warning given to him by his parents. Do not activate the curse he was under for over 50 years on enjoying his sadistic ways to torture his prey by getting them to fall for his charms and then brutally killing them. Since then he'd never killed a single soul but he did enjoy the odd prey by toying with their emotion. If only he didn't save the girl. He had every intention of toying with Pia until he'd made the connection. It hit him with a thousand bolts. At least he was keeping his distance. He was safe from her just like she would be safe from his clutches. The thought of Kabir even touching her was making him sick. He averted his eyes away from them looking at the equipment on his table. He had a glass beaker, test tubes, scissors,, Petri dishes, litmus papers and a microscope. Looks like today was going to be an interesting session. Abhay was sat alone just as he preferred to be. He'd compelled T to stay away from him. Her presence annoyed the hell out of him. She had only two uses for him one as a blood donor and the other to keep Pia away from him T didn't stop by like she did the previous days. Then again most of the girls were targeted by Abhay for blood but they all have the same effect on him but Pia was different her blood had become a drug to him almost. Strange girls were never a problem before but Pia was who knew if she was even human because her blood sang to him? Pia walked down the aisle. He tried to not look at her but she looked directly at him. Kabir was long gone to his own class as he was studying something else. Abhay mind kept on saying DON'T SIT NEXT TO ME. MOVE PIA. MOVE. Who was he kidding it wasn't like she had a choice all the seats were taken apart from one at the back next to a girl who was so competitive trying to outsmart everyone and come top of the class. Was she in for a rude awakening because Abhay was a genius although he had to rein it back a little? He couldn't afford the luxury of being a smart Alec especially as he was around for a long time picking up a lot of info even lecturers wouldn't have the same knowledge in their own specialized field. Pia sat next to him. She took one glance at him then quickly looked away.

Abhay rudely blurted out-Did U have to sit beside me?

Pia spat back-I did it just to spite U. How dumb do U think i am? On second thoughts don't answer that. I wasn't going to put myself through all that headache of being around that girl Khushi who is anything but khushi! But i'm having second thoughts now! Maybe she would've been a better of the two evils.

Abhay-Ouch! That hurt. U think i'm evil. Please just admit it U couldn't resist me so U took your chance to be with me.

Pia-Whatever loser. U need to really get your head checked out man all U ever do is pick fights at the wrong place at the wrong time. I have no interest in talking to U so zip it.

Abhay-So thats your comeback is it for me to zip it. Now i know U really aren't as clever as U might appear.

Pia-I can't be bothered wasting my breath on U Abhay Raichand. Say what U like. In the end actions speak louder than words. I will make U eat your words.

Mrs Dhayal the lecturer for the Sciense class ordered all the student to pay attention to the lesson in hand as she wasn't going to slow down or repeat herself. There was a silence in the class. Pia ignored Abhay while he paid no attention to what was going on in the lesson other than checking out a variety of organisms under the scope. They had to work together in pairs apart from Khushi who had to work in a group of three. Pia took her turn to assess what each experiment would fall under which group while Abhay did the same. He couldn't help but notice how well they worked together. Pia double checked on Abhay's results as he took a glance for a second and stated what it was in that second. He had no patience but he liked the look of surprise on Pia's face when he got the answer right. Abhay could see the concentration in her eyes. The frown line on her forehead when she was really focussing on what was going on. Abhay admired her work ethic of getting on with the project in hand without letting personal differences get in the way. He hated that all he saw were positives in this girl which was annoying him to the extent that he was finding it extremely difficult to find someway to push her buttons. He didn't want to fight her but the opposite. Abhay was in for a challenge all right but not posed by Pia but by his own weakness for being a sucker for a defiant girl who wasn't affected by his looks and fought back when she was being backed into a corner by proving her mettle. So she was brains with beauty after all. This was going to suck. He didn't like being in her bad books little did Abhay know that Pia was impressed by his own intellectual level. Good looks with some serious intelligence had her change her outlook on Abhay. He was made from some sturdy stuff. He grated on her but at the same time he had her at his mercy with her irrational emotions because when she was around him her heart and mind were at a battle with each other. Pia completely forgot about Kabir. She didn't dare to look at Abhay in the eye fearing she was going to fall deeper into the abyss of her own personal storm. Time flew by so quick.

It was lunch break. Abhay sat in a corner all by himself as he did the other day. Pia couldn't help herself but to take a quick glance his way. The whole room was filled with people but Abhay stuck out like a sore thumb with his super broody looks. He was surrounded by plenty of Hot girls but he never once looked their way like they were no interest to him. He avoided their gaze. She noticed T was going the other way. Was T bored of Abhay already? The two days she was around Abhay like a bad rash. Ruhi hurried towards Abhay like he was a gold mine. She had her neck covered. Pia was beginning to think a trend was starting up in College. She'd spotted a few girls sporting this look. Abhay got up with tracker trailing behind him. He was in demand that's for sure.Pia tried to focus on something else but her eyes betrayed her still following Abhay until she was brought back to reality by Misha.

Misha-Hey babes what the hell is going on with U? Is it true what i heard about U and Kabir?

Pia-Yes!

Misha-U need your head checked. U are a schizoid! U told me that Kabir wasn't your type that U weren't interested in guy's or girls just your studies and as soon as i have my back turned U do this. What is going on in that head of yours? Kabir is my best friend Pia i will not have U hurt him.

Pia-I tried to blow him off but i gave in. I don't know why? I set him straight though. I told him i wasn't looking for anything serious. To take things really slow. Get to know each other as friends first then take it to the next level if the feeling is mutual.

Misha-U are playing with fire Pia. Someone will get hurt. I don't want either of U in a place where there is no way out but heartbreak. I don't think this is a good idea. It reeks of disaster.

Pia-Kabir is a big boy Misha he told me he can handle it. He's had experience with this. With women.

Misha-But U don't Pia. What's this really about?

Pia-Nothing. Misha i don't know what i'm doing does this make U happy now? I'm trying to keep Kabir happy. Giving him what he wants which is a chance to be with me. He looks so happy Misha.

Misha-But are U happy Pia? It's not about Kabir. This is about what U want.

Pia with a lost look-I don't know what i want Misha other than keeping everyone happy.

Misha-Pia U shouldn't be with someone to make them happy. Babes i've never done this whole dating thing either but if i were to be with someone it would be because they made me love them (making a funny face) But i doubt i will ever fall for anyone because there is nobody made for me as i am a hard girl to please. Jokes apart i think U should reconsider this.

Kabir walked in on them.

Kabir-Misha reconsider what?

Misha-U two as a couple. She's telling me that U guys are taking it easy playing it by ear. It's the opposite to how U operate Kabir. U like fast girls not slow ones that make U wait. This spells trouble. I forbid U two to even contemplate on playing this stupid game of cat and mouse.

Kabir-Misha U keep your nose out of my business. Leave Pia alone and let us be.

Pia-Misha has a point Kabir maybe we are taking this too lightly. I honestlt can't guarantee anything can come of this relationship or whatever U want to call this. For starters i don't even see U that way. I think we have to put a halt to what we are planning on doing.

Kabir-Look what U did? Misha U can be such a pain.

Misha-Well i want to be a pain in the a**. To stop U from making an ultimate fool out of yourself.

Kabir-I hate U Misha.

Misha-Kabir U will thank me in the long run trust me. Pia hasn't even broken a sweat over any of this madness. Look at her she's so calm.

Pia-Misha is right Kabir we shouldn't open a can of worms we can't close up again. I made a rash decision one i'm not proud of. Be reasonable Kabir. If U are honest with yourself U can see this wasn't meant to be.

Kabir wasn't letting Pia off the hook but to keep the peace he agreed un keeping things as they were. "Fine. U win Misha. But i'm stubborn. I'm not letting Pia go."

Misha-I wouldn't hold my breath Kabir but in time U will see what i see.

Pia-Friends!

Kabir-Friends but i'm not giving up on U.

Misha-U are a tough nut to crack but at least this madness is over.

With that sour conversation over they headed out for a few more boring session in their time tabled subjects separating their own way. Kabir was disappointed by Misha's interference. With friends like Misha he didn't need enemies but he knew she meant well. He was so close to Pia yet so far. Kabir knew he could win round Pia in time. Most girls he'd dated in the past were won over by his personality and fine the fact that he was filthy rich didn't hurt. With others it took him time but he won them over unfortunately they didn't keep his interest for long. Kabir knew Pia was different because she had no interest in him other than friendship. That in his book made her even more irresistible to him. She was like nobody he'd ever dated. She made him feel alive and excited about life. Her innocence was her appeal. She was the only girl in the world that made him feel weak at the knees for the first time which was a first. Pia wasn't interest in money from her conversations with Misha as she wanted to pay her way for everything. She wasn't bothered by any guy's but he did notice Abhay Raichand checking her out which made Kabir all the more determined to win Pia. He was jealous of the time Pia spent with Abhay even if T was with them. Kabir didn't like Pia talk about how mean Abhay is to her because she showed so much emotion when she spoke about Abhay. There had to be a way Kabir could be in with a chance with Pia. Misha had to stick her oar in. Kabir wasn't giving up on Pia even if Pia had given up on them. He would make her love him.

After College

Abhay was hard at work painting over the gates as fast as he could to finish this stupid punishment which was driving him up the wall. Pia was someone he could do without. He was having trouble with keeping away from this temptress. Ufortunately for him the fact that he saw Pia with Kabir all loved up made him want Pia even more in a twisted way. Abhay thought how very ironic that he was into a girl that he was trying to avoid because he never stayed away from girls he wanted to avoid unless their blood tasted disgusting and he'd tasted a few that was gross. Those suffering from anaemia were the worst like diet queens but U had to do what U had to do. Pia on the other hand was not his type look wise but neither were most of the girls he'd tasted before but Pia's blood was a drug he was trying to stay clear of. She did something to him the night he met her. They connected on a level he'd never connected with any human before. When he drank from his prey it was like he was seeing some mental resonance of what occurred in their life. Pia was special. He was going through his own demons. Ones he preferred to keep a thousand miles away because they burned his soul to the core but he relived those moments. Pia was part of this torture he couldn't quite figure out fully what that was. Speak of the angel she looked pleased with herself like a burden was lifted from her shoulders. That face haunted him whenever he closed his eyes. T was late like her usual self. He'd be glad when he didn't have to see T's spoilt face. Her being around him dragged. He had reason enough to hate her but Pia didn't like T around him. This was enough to keep T to keep Pia away.

Pia noticed Abhay had his T-shirt on. The guy at least covered up his toned abs that distracted her. Those rippled muscles were keeping her entertained as she saw images of him holding her in her own world. T brough her back to Earth. Abhay saw right through her. Abhay did something to her she was certain of that but her mind and her emotions wreaked hovk on her. Abhay what are U doing to me? I feel so conflicted like i should hate U yet i can't. T was someone i disliked because of the way she looks at U she thought. Abhay grimaced at the way Pia eyed him. Pia avoids his eyes directly and gets on with it. T broke the silence which was deafening.

T-So is the rumour that U and Kabir a an item true?

Pia lied looking at Abhay-Yes who told U this?

T-The whole College knows this. With Tracker do U seriously think that this wouldn't be advertised for all. That girl doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut!

Pia thought like T ever shut her mouth. Pia could see Abhay's eyes change colour. Something was going on with the jerk. Pia didn't know why she was lying about her and Kabir but Abhay's whole body seemed to react differently. Could he be jealous Pia thought. Absurd but Pia doubted that. T was back to flirting with Abhay.

T winks at Abhay-U are defiantly hitting on all cylinders Abhay. Working is something i shy away from but U make this hot.

Abhay pulls T in his arms making Pia turn green-U look very Hot in your painting gear. It's the first time i've seen U working this hard. Keep it up.

Abhay smacks T's bottom in a playful way which was quite sickening for Pia. It disturbed her. She wanted to hit both of them with her half empty tin of paint.
