It was lunchbreak Abhay went round to put his name for the Karate master classes. He was after all a pro at this it would give him something to keep his mind occupied. He looked at the brochure. Teaching kids some Karate after school. Cool he had that sorted out. Tracker had followed him there to relay news on any potential hottie news to spread on the gossip vine. She posted it her twitter page. The news quickly spread around in college by the end of the day. Abhay wondered what all the fuss was about. Anyone would think something big was on. He looked at T coming over his way.

Abhay-So what's the news Flash?

T-U are darling.

Abhay-How? All i did was sign up for a few classes here and there.

T-Well thats not all that happened. Ruhi posted all online. Technology hey who'd live without it.

Abhay-So what?

T-That makes the girls swarm for an action Hero. Seriously Abhay get with the programme. Girls want what's hot and U my darling are what we call happening!

Abhay-Ok.

T-Well U see we always have a function of some sort happening and with U entering your name down for these classes means that we can have our annual Gala which is hosted by dear Panchi Dobrial and her poor boyfriend next month. Its the perfect opportunity to raise awareness.

Abhay-U mean more like raise awareness for your own gain right. See T i'm not playing the game your way.

T-Well the college do raise alot of money in the process and if i come away looking like the Queen bee even better. I'd have U by my side.

Abhay lied-I'm not that good a fighter. I do this for fun.

T-Makes no difference to me sweet Pea so long as U enter thats what counts. Besides nobody in college can fight.

Abhay-I know i did some digging myself. Its two people against the rest of the local colleges that will be competing.

T-U won't actually be fighting just showing off some moves.

Abhay-Fine do whatever. Tracker i can see U.

Tracker-Sorry I didn't think you'd notice. So i can go to Panchi with this news.

Abhay-Yeah yeah do whatever.

Misha finally had a chance to catch up with Pia to talk about Kabir. She noticed Pia's mind was elsewhere as Misha kept calling Pia's name over and over again. Pia finally turned around giving Misha a little smile. Pia had a hard day at College. She kept on thinking about Abhay and why he kept on being mean to her. He avoided her like a rash. That made her feel bad enough but his words stung her yesterday. Pia couldn't help but wonder why he was so nasty to her yet he had no problem with other girls. It wasn't like she was coming onto him or anything. Unlike some girls namely Tracker and T. Pia looked at Misha who was beaming away as usual. She was the chirpiest person she'd ever met. Misha never let anything bother her as far as Pia knew.

Misha-U were miles away. What's bugging U?

Pia lied-Nothing much.

Misha-U haven't been yourself since the party dude. Cheer up. I got a proposition for U.

Pia-What's that?

Misha-Perfect thing to brighten up that gloomy face of yours chick.

Pia-I do not have a gloomy face.

Misha-Pia U look like U will chew someone up.

Pia-Chew Abhay Raichand up more like.

Misha-Why do U let that jack a** get to U? He has some serious mental problems no doubt. Have U heard the buzz around him? Guy thinks he's Akshay Kumar with his Karate choppin. Like Death Wish much. Probably trying to score more brownie points with the ladies.

Pia flinched at that remark-He's what?

Misha-Yeah he thinks he's the local street fighter or something. Guys round here don't do martial arts. They're more into boxing. He's found the wrong sport.

Pia-I never knew he signed up for that.

Misha-What planet were U on P? All the college knows about this.

Pia looks a little worried-I have things on my mind.

Misha observes Pia's sudden change in tone-Pia U aren't worried about Abhay are U?

Pia-Misha come on. The guy is a wack job. Like i care about what he's upto. He can break every bone in his body for all i care. U have noticed we aren't even on speaking terms forget about having any feelings for the jerk. I hate the guys attitude. It stinks.

Misha nervously laughsher next comment off-U sure about that babes U seem to be a little too defensive now. They do say hate often leads to Love.

Pia-Trust me. I dislike the guy. He's not worth my time or energy.

Misha-Ok. Umm don't bite my head off but i was wondering if U liked Kabir?

Pia-Like Kabir. He's a nice guy. I guess. He's been helpful with all my classes.

Misha-Well i know he likes U a lot but i want to know if U like him? I wanted to keep this upfront unlike Kabir. See the thing is Pia... Kabir has dated a lot of girls in the past. I'm not going to lie about it but he claims he likes U so much that he is willing to change his whole outlook on girls. He has a crush the size of India and maybe more. Besides Kabir's never been nervous about asking a girl out apart from U! That's why i know he's sincere about his feelings for U. Plus i reserve the right to break hin into pieces if he ever messes with my girl Pia. What do U say?

Pia-Misha i'm not into the whole dating scene. I want to just concentrate on my studies. That's all. Its my priority. Guy's don't interest me other than being just friends.

Misha jokes-What about girls then?

Pia-Misha I don't roll that way not that its any of your business.

Misha-I had to ask just in case. U never know but Even I'm not into girls if U noticed i don't gel with them. But U are different.

Pia-Why do i look like a guy?

Misha-U are like a sister i never had. Panchi and I are like chalk and cheese. U i get.

Pia-Thanks I think. I have to go finish off with my chore.

Misha-U got yourself to blame for that babes. Tell jack a** sorry Abhay i said Hi. Just kidding. Watch out for T she's a real sneaky little devil.

Pia-I highly doubt i'll be saying anything to that creep. T can take a hike. So long as she keeps her distance i'm fine by that. See ya tomorrow.

All the students leave the College premises while most of the girls were hovering around Abhay trying the catch a glimpse of him. Abhay gave them a cheeky grin. He took off his designer shirt off. No way was he going to get his designer Prada shirt he had imported from America ruined. He heard whistles from some of his admirers. From a fair distance away Abhay saw Pia make her usual entrance this time with a hint of annoyance playing on her face he found really cute. As he saw her come neare he caught Pia's eyes roll at what she saw. She was mad. Good. That left him in the safety zone. Abhay didn't want to admit it but he didn't trust himself to be alone in the same room as her. He knew what buttons to press. So Pia didn't like the attention Abhay got or was it due to her day being strenuous? Abhay decided he didn't care but deep down he wanted Pia to be happy. He picked up a paintbrush and got to work without saying anything to Pia. T made a late entry shooing away stray onlookers. She didn't want Abhay to be gawped at by anyone. After all he was the new eye candy that most girls were after even if they didn't admit it to themselves. T knew Pia had a thing for Abhay not that she had a chance with Prom Queen T around. After all she was what all the guy's wanted. If only Pia wasn't present T would have had Abhay all to herself. Shame.

T touches Abhays shoulders-I see someone's been working out.

Abhay lied. Vampires never changed their physical appearances other than hairstyles. They always looked the same as they did when they died. Only all their flaws get overseen with their strinking sharper features-Well U don't get to look this way without putting the hours in the gym and being blessed naturally.

T-Nice tattoo.

Abhay saw Pia's interest peaking-It's a family emblem.

T-A bat sign. U guys into batman or something.

Abhay-U could say that.

T-I like it. Mkaes U look more dangerous. U like my new look Abhay?

Abhay completely oblivious to what T was on about. He was too busy checking Pia out-What look?

T-U guy's seriously don't bother with how much effort us girls go through to look this good not that i need much help. I'm a natural beauty U know. Like U.

Abhay thought yeah right. U wish. Pia was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen-U did something with your hair right?

Pia rolled her eyes which made Abhay smile. Pia wished time would fly. This was torture listening to T raving on about her makeover. Abhay was starting to regret this whole T thing to keep Pia away from him. The girl was so irritating. T needed to be muffled shut because everything that came out of her mouth was just utter rubbish. It was all ME. ME. ME. The only person that had that right was Abhay not T. He could tell Pia was getting just as bored with T's conversation. Abhay would rather just listen to Pia taunt him than T ranting on about herself.

T-I had a haircut. U know to get rid of the paint U smeared on me. U did me a favour really. I needed a change.

Abhay threatened T-The new look suits U but if U care about how good U look then shift your weight or i'm gonna get pretty annoyed with this paint and pour it all over your hair. Then U would need to chop all you locks off.

T-U are kidding right?

Abhay-No. I've done all this side of the gates while you've been slacking off. Even Pia's done more than U have.

Abhay saw Pia's face light up slightly. He thought Pia had the most cutest smile ever. He had to work on his poker face because Pia saw the change in his face. Pia had this way of making him forget what he was trying to do. Keep Pia at bay. He was no good for her. She deserved someone better. Someone who'd treat her right. Someone with a heart. One that didn't bear a hazard warning sign unlike him.

T frowned moving away from Abhay lifting the paintbrush-Fine. Spoilsport.

Abhay looks over at Pia-I just wanna get out of here.

T-You are pretty quiet Pia not got anything to say.

Pia-I'd rather save my breath on something more meaningful than how people look thanks.

T-Yes well i guess U really are a bore.

The Principle came out and okayed the three of them to go home. T took off in her car while Pia was about to head off on her own off to the hostel. Abhay didn't like the thought of Pia on her own wanted to give Pia a lift.

Abhay-Pia hop in i'll give U a lift.

Pia-No thanks. I wouldn't want to cramp your style. U make me so mad. I just wanna hit U. U were the one who wanted me to stay away. Thats precisely what i am doing.

Abhay-Pia i'm warning U either U get in or i will drag U in here. Your choice.

Pia-U wouldn't dare! I don't have far to go. Just go Abhay.

Abhay-Last warning.

Pia-Fine. I don't get U Abhay. U really are an enigma to me. U are so infuriating i could just strangle U.

Abhay-Yeah that's me. Always keep U guessing. Always have the girls crazy about me. Better than being a bore right.

Pia jumps in the car putting on her seatbelt which she has a slight problem putting on. Abhay helps her buckle it on. He drives on keeping an eye on Pia with an occasional glance at the road. His vampire sense were useful at times.

Abhay-We'll be finished with the gates in no time.

Silence. Pia looks vacantly at the woods they were driving past.

Abhay-It's ok to talk while we get there U know.

Pia bluntly let out-Why are U participating in the Karate tournament?

Abhay-It's my passion. The whole thrill of knocking out your opponent. The adrenaline rush U get. Its exhilarating. It's a form of expressing ones self in an art form. U seem concerned. Really U shouldn't worry about it. Nobody get's hurt unless your not careful. And i'm always careful.

Pia-I don't like violence in any form but to do it as a sport is wrong. I don't want to see U hurt. I care for your wellbeing Abhay. Why am i saying all this? Sorry.

Abhay-Pia that's for me to decide not U! What i do in my own time is upto me. If i get hurt it all on my head. I mean nothing to U. Nothing at all. Not U so quit worrying about me and concentrate on your own life.

Pia was visibly upset and Abhay didn't like what he was doing to her. Such emotions for a strange girl he'd only met in 3 days was beyond anything Abhay could comprehend with. He didn't want to see her upset. Abhay knew Pia had conflicting feeling like he had with her. Abhay slammed the brakes on and held her face in his hands.

Pia-I don't know what this is Abhay but i can't shut out how i feel. I know U hate me but as annoying as U are i'm having difficulty hating U. I hate the way U make me feel because i'm not me when i'm around U.

Abhay had no choice but to do something he didn't do before. He compelled her-Pia i think i like U a lot. I am not willing to let this go any further. My soul is at stake here. U are the only girl that has ever gotten to me but i have to put a stop to it the only way i know how. Pia U do not like me. U never have. U don't care about me or have any interest in me whatsoever. U have a change of heart U want to date Kabir. Give him a try. U owe it to yourself and Kabir to explore this relationship.

Abhay gives Pia a little kiss on her cheek and drives on dropping her off to her destination. He reaches to the Raichand Mansion and rushes up the stairs crashing into bed thinking about Pia. The sweetheart that was tugging entry into his cold heart. She was melting away the icy exterior. She was a menace he had to get rid of but would he regret thrusting her into someone elses arms. Only time would tell. Vampires never slept but he was in heavy thoughts. His mother Haseena made an entry in his room fully aware that Abhay was restless. She knew what her son was like.

Haseena-Abhay U want to talk about anything?

Abhay-I joined the tournament.

Haseena-Good but be careful U know thecomplications surrounding those events right?

Abhay-I get it. No need for the warnings. I've been doing this a while remember.

Haseena-Is there anything U want to share?

Abhay-No

Haseena-U know where i am if U ever need to talk. I won't push U to tell me anything. Just promise me U will when U are ready..
