India Forum's Music Ka Maha Muqqabla (Male)

Welcome, to IF's Music Ka Maha Muqqabla! Male Contest!

This will be in the same format as the female contest.

If you don't know, what I'm talking about, here is a link to the female contest...The main difference is that there will be 4 judges this time (like the actual show) and the marks will be 50% audience and 50% judges.

But here is a quick rundown of what to expect again...


Here it is. 6 contestants. Some of the best male singers over the past decade. They will go head to head, and we will choose a winner. The best male singer from the 2000s.


How does it work?

We start Round 1 with 6 professional male singers from the past decade. Each perform in a chosen song.
We listen to each's song, and then based on their performance in the song, we give them a rating (through a poll) out of 10. There are 4 selected judges who will do the same.
1. We average the scores after Round 1, and the playback singer with the lowest score is eliminated. We then move to Round 2 with 5 singers. And keep going till there is a winner!

Some notes and details:

It will be 50% Audience (Poll for everyone) and 50% Judges Set 5 as the average for a bollywood playback performance according to you, and rate out of 10 based on that In picking a song for the performance in the round, I will ask the judges and consult other sources, and decide based on that. You can also send songs you want to see played on.
Each singer will have their own Round thread where we have a poll to rate their performance
• Each Round will last approximately 2-3 days

I think all 4 would make great judges, have displayed that they can judge unbiasedly, showed at leas some skill in judging singing, and will bring in a diversified view in terms of evaluating singers. They all compliment each other well!


And now lets meet the 6 contestants representing the 2000s!

By the way, I was just kidding with the 6 contestants I posted earlier, which included Mika ,Mohit, and Himesh lol....The ones posted right now are the real ones...


I've updated the post with the actual 6 contestants. And I'll say it was very tough choosing these 6. Much tougher than females. No matter what combo, great singers were going to be left out. So for whatever reason, some singer was left out, whether it was their impact on bollywood, or just being slightly worse in my opinion, but they did not make it. I got a lot of different view points on which 6 should be chosen, and I went to go with these 6...

but anyways, there they are, the 6 contestants....as you can see, the competition will be very tough!!!! All 6 are great singers! I mean, I can't imagine trying to compare them with one another. if you thought the female contest looked tough, then this is like a million times tougher!




Competition will start tomorrow, in about 12 hours! Good luck to all contestants!

Oh one more important thing

Suggest songs for the singers to me! PM me songs you think the singer sang great in and should be played for them in a given round!

You can suggest for all singers, or concentrate on 1 singer.

Himesh deserved to be on there. Oh well. Still a great list of singers. This competition should be tough. Very tough. All 6 are amazing. It's already an honor for the 6 who got nominated here to be participating in a competition of the decade for their singing. That's an honor in itself.

But he just won the Filmfare award. He is heading toward list of Universal singer, He also won Apsara award. According to you anyone who win the major award is an elite singer. Are you backtracking from your statment?
