Shahid Kapoor starrer O’ Romeo trailer launch has been cancelled following security concerns, according to sources. The film, which recently grabbed attention after its intense teaser release, was expected to unveil its full trailer ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on February 13, 2026. However, the planned launch event will no longer take place.

As per information accessed by Pinkvilla, the decision was taken after an alleged security threat linked to a ransom demand. Sources claim that the late gangster Hussain Ustara’s daughter, Sanober Shaikh, allegedly demanded Rs 2 crore from the film’s team. Following this development, the makers chose to cancel the trailer launch to avoid any potential risk.

While the event has been called off, there is no clarity yet on when the trailer will be released digitally. The production team has not issued an official statement so far. For now, audiences will have to wait for further updates regarding both the trailer and promotional plans.

O’ Romeo is a romantic action drama directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is set in post Independence era Mumbai, a period marked by social change and the rise of organised crime. Against this backdrop, the story explores the violent underworld while also focusing on the emotional complexities of love. The narrative follows a central character navigating crime, power struggles, and personal relationships. As the city transforms, the film reportedly blends romance with raw conflict, creating a world where love and violence constantly collide.

Shahid Kapoor plays the lead role in the film. The cast also includes Triptii Dimri, Avinash Tiwary, Farida Jalal, Vikrant Massey, Nana Patekar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, and Aruna Irani, among others. The film has been written by Vishal Bhardwaj and Rohan Narula.
