I haven't watched the show as yet and I dont want to get into slamming people or calling them names but I think Shaan has a valid point.
If the team has members other than the Captain, then its only fair to give them a chance to sing. To not do that is to publicy declare that you dont think they are talented enough to win the game for you and to openly take advantage of the fact that the audience will give you a 10 irrespective of how your performance is that evening simply becuase of who you are!
Why just that, I have watched episodes where the Captains have made just a couple of singers sing because they sing better. That also to my mind is partisan and contrary to the spirit of the game.
That people like Himesh reshamiya are sore loosers is a given, but I must admit I am really surprised at Shankar Mahadevan. He is too talented a singer and a good music director to not rise above petty competitiveness... he has nothing to loose by allowing the young boys and girls to sing while they have a lot to gain.. he must remember that once he was a newcomer and someone gave him an opportunity too......
