which code of ethics or morale has been broken here?

it was his right, he used that right and no one can condemn him on that, no one was under-played.. its just this single match in which he came twice, in the remaining all matches all of the singers have performed.. NO ONE is being under-played here.. it was not UNFAIR because it was in the rules that the captain can come any time he wants.. it was his personal decision for the benefit of his team, you can not challenge that..

I have never posted here, being content just to read the sometimes very passionate posts.

But this episode has moved me to add my two cents, however little consequence they may have.

1) Nidhi forgot the words: she totally didn't know them, because even her beginning was such that Rahul was singing along. For the one time she gets to sing half a song, that is pretty poor going by any standards.

2) Rahul, who I didn't know before this programme, is a pretty ordinary singer. HR said it was great performance: I can only say he must have been a million miles away. Rahul didn't reach correct sur many times, and had to resort to under the breath singing to even sound OK: they have been so harsh - perhaps rightly- on other singers from other teams on this regard.
Just in the antara he missed all the beauty of the singing in this song: looks so simple, yet so difficult to pull off because of that very reason. In fact, despite his evidently die-hard fans, I find his singing very forced, he obviously has a lot to learn and spend much more time practising.

3) The captain coming down skews the competition totally. I don't know who thought of this idea. but if this is the case, just throw out all the singers and lets have a competition between all the judges.
Thought the idea was for all the new singers from reality show to compete, but except for Shaan and Shreya, it seems the others have just used the programme to further their own image. There are a load of others I would have loved to hear more of: Aishwarya, Lakhwinder Wadali, etc. etc.

Maybe it would have been a good idea to keep the captain's performance as a joker that you can only use so many times?

But then, thats presuming they are actually interested in doing an honest show!! Oh for the first days of sa re ga ma....

just want to correct you there.. Shaan and Shreya have also been coming and performing for their teams in MKMM.. so don't label them outside this category.. if they want their team to win, they can employ any strategy within the rules, for their team.. its nothing wrong in it..

I am talking about morale , not the stupid rule. plz read my post again, even shaan can come in each round and win the competition by his own talent, but he is the best captain, lead from front and earned respect

so let shaan come and deal in each round himself, i will not object to that..
listen, shaan has the best team out of all the teams, he has all the winners and runners up from different competitions there, so there is no problem for him, but in shankar's team there are not as popular people.. so if in ONE match he does come the second time and perform instead of sending them, whats the big deal?!
why are you making a mountain out of a small thing, its a part of the game, no one can win innocently, each and every captain knows his team's pros and cons, and they are totally allowed to use their own strategies.. no one has lost their morale in that game, everyone is trying for their team the best they can.. Shankar does not always do that by coming on stage himself.. so, within the rules, he is totally fair..

Obviously ,, it' s amll thing for u .. then we should have compitition among the judges , why even to keep the contestants.

I wonder if captains will keep singing, then who will come to judge?

Of course all of them are going to get 10 from audience.

yes i agree with you on this point, that this rule should not be there, but since it is there, so we should respect it, and respect the captains who use this Right.. its NOT UNFAIR to come as captain, as its in the rule book..

secondly, yes shaan was right to be upset, but he should have just told the judges about his opinion, not by creating such a big drama which destroyed the whole mood of the show, this fact was also acknowledged by him at the end, he said he did went over-board with this issue..

it could have been handled nicely and healthily not in such a manner, i was shocked.. but anyways, everything was balanced out, judges gave their own opinion and audience gave theirs.. so i do not consider myself so great, to be able to critcize any of their opinion, because all of them are experainced in their fields.. i loved rahul's singing and enjoyed the performance and that's what matters to me.,

I guess Shaan's recation was appropriate.
