Part 2:

*he opened his eyes* He was in the hospital. How did he reach here? The only thing he remembered before waking up was seeing the spirit in his car. After he woke up, doctor came in and asked how he was feeling now.

"I am fine doctor!" he replied back.

"We got a call from a lady from your cell phone who said you had an accident at this particular place and when we reached there, there were no one besides you and your broken car. Have you any idea who was she? She had pretty good voice though" the doctor said.

He knew who was that lady but how can he say she is a spirit. He would thought he was insane or something. So he replied, "No doctor I don't know who she was. May be she found my phone when I was unconscious."

"Ya! Probably. Well you take rest now. Your family member will be arriving any moment." The doctor said and left.

He was still scared but thankful to her as well because she called doctor and saved his life. He thanked her in his heart but was wishing he wouldn't have to see her again. He decided to take a nap until his parents arrived. He closed his eyes but as soon as he did that he remembered the old lady saying that she was dead. He opened his eyes in horror. He was panting, he couldn't say to anyone but just keep it to himself because no one would believed him anyways. He couldn't go to sleep but instead stared at the ceiling. Then a voice appeared, "You don't have to be scared, I do no harm to you." He looked here and there but couldn't see anyone. He was getting scared and sweating again. When he turned his head to the wall she saw here sitting next to her bed. It was her again, again in front of him. Right before when he was wishing he didn't have to see her again, she came again.

"You don't have to fear me, I'll not harm you or anything, "she said.

"You' what do you want from e? Why don't you just leave me alone?" he asked in a rude voice.

"Before you knew I was dead, you were attracted towards me, didn't you? Because you thought I was an ordinary girl who you can talk to, who you can touch but as soon as you came to know that thing you fear me? Why? Ain't I the same girl now as well?" She asked in a sad voice.

"No you're not, you are not the same as I thought you," he said to her.

"How am I different now? Its only that I m pronounced as dead and there is a word "late" added before my name besides that I am the same, I have the same face you saw, same body you touched, and same heart I had. I just wanted to be your friend because no one sees me besides you and I feel alone in this world." Tears rolled down her eyes when she said that.

"How can I be a friend with a spirit, that's impossible' and' and I am scared of you, I can't' simply can't," he said.

"Do you think I look scary or something? Why do you fear me and I'll be you invisible friend." She said.

"No you look scary its just that I am scared of spirits and like how you appear out of no where that scares me," he said.

*she giggled* "then don't think me as a dead person, forget what my grand mom said. Think as if I am alive your friend who came to see you after you had an accident, I promise you'll not be scared anymore," she suggested him.

By this time he was feeling quiet comfortable her being around. He was no more scared of her, he was feeling nice talking with her and she seemed to have been a nice person when she was alive.

*he giggled*and said "sure, I accept your friend request and to not delete till lifetime."

"Sure, indeed," she said. He felt that she was happy; he could see the happiness in her eyes which was sparkling like diamond, only if she wasn't dead. He felt bad and asked god why did he take her away from him before she even came to his life.

"What's your name?" he said finally.

"Me'" before she could say her name, his parents entered his room crying. It was his mom who was crying the most among all of them who came. She was looking at him with so much pain and he was smiling at her.

"How did this happen? I told you to drive carefully and you never listen to me. Don't you know I'll die if anything happens to you," his mom said while hugging him. Her eyes were filled with tears.

"I am fine mom, nothing happened to me, look I am alright," he said calming his mom.

He was looking at his mom with so much love and care when a voice from behind said," Your mom loves you a lot, wish I could have seen my mom love me like this."

He felt her pain but couldn't say anything at then moment because his whole family members were there and he didn't want them to know anything about his invisible friend because they may think he has gone insane after the accident.

The doctor came inside and asked everyone to leave because he needed some rest. His mom kissed him on his forehead and went outside the room. His mom was looking back again and again making sure he was alright. Then suddenly she said, "Your mom loves you a lot, I could see the pain in her eyes, I am sorry, it's all due to me."

"Don't blame yourself, it was my mistake I shouldn't have been scared of you, when you were just trying to be my friend. I should have known that when I first saw you at the beach," he said to remove her guilt.

"No, it's my mistake, I shouldn't have appeared in your car last night if I hadn't then you wouldn't have been lying in the hospital like this," she said again.

"No, it's not your fault in anyways. Now stop this otherwise I'll delete and as well block you from my friend list," he said.

She giggled and said, "Ok! Sir. But don't remove me. I really want to be your friend."

"Well, but I don't even know my friend's name." he said

"My name is Meher. Meher Malhotra. M and M" She said.

"That's a beautiful name. Same as you. My name is Preet by the way .Preet Sharma." He said

"That's a nice name as well, but nor beautiful then mine," She laughed when she said that.

"Yup, true!" he said smiling.

Then suddenly entered the room and said, "Well Preet your mom wants to take you home and take care of you by herself so we are discharging you right now."

"Great, I want to go home as well, I don't really like hospitals, there are lots of ghost around," Then suddenly Meher dropped a glass of water on the floor, "see?" he said.

That scared the hell out of the doctor, "Nice joke kiddo," she said.

I am not kidding doctor, I see lot of ghosts around, and one of them is a beautiful girl. If she wasn't dead I would really have proposed her for sure," he said

Then again Meher dropped the picture hung on the wall near doctor's feet.

"You should really get going Preet," The doctor said and ran from there.

"That was fun scaring people," he said.

"Yeah only when you know someone can see you, but when you are all alone and want someone to know you're here, they just get scared and I feel sad when I didn't even tried to scare them but they feel it anyways," she said.

"I understand, but you are not alone now, I am with you," she said in such a way that made a smile.

"Aren't you coming with me to my home? I m not staying here anymore, you know that right?" he asked her.

"Yes I know you are not staying her anymore, and I'll come visit you sometimes. I can't stay there forever because if I do anything wrong then your family will get scared like you were." She said.

"Where will you go then?" he asked her.

"I don't need any home or something I am just fine roaming here and there and scaring people but if you want me around then just whisper my name I'll be right there with you," She said.

"Promise?" He asked her to make a promise that she'll be with him whenever he wants her to be.

"Ghostly promise," She said.

They both laughed and it was time for Preet to go home. So his brother carried him and placed him in the wheelchair and took him to the car. While they drove home she was with him in the car talking to him but the only thing was he just listens as he instructed. She was telling her how fun her life was, what she did, and how the simple accident changed everything. Preet didn't realized how quick the time passed just by listening to her stories. When they reached home, she said, "Here is your destiny, hope to meet you again. Today I can just come till here and bid you bye but just remember to whisper my name and I'll be there," she vanished after saying this. He went inside home and into his bedroom; his mother was sitting besides him for a while and left him alone to take rest. He was missing her already eth she whispered, "Meher". She didn't come. He again whisper, "Meher".

"Not so early, I just left Preet!" a voice said. She came when he whispered.

"No, I was just checking if you would really come," he said.
