Hardik says it looks like a good track, and mentions it is always good to bat second at this venue. Tonight is a big game, so just come out and play good cricket, and enjoy the sport, says Hardik. You need to land the ball right and play the right shots. As long as you do that, you are in the game, notes Hardik. Always good to know what you are chasing in this side. Santner and Markande come in, with Ghazanfar and Chahar missing out, says Hardik.

Patidar says he would have bowled first too but reckons the toss might not make too much of a difference. Adds that there have been a lot of positives for them, even in their last game, where they made it to 200. There is a lot of support for the home side and that is challenging, he says, but it is also a nice opportunity. Duffy comes in for Hazlewood, adds Patidar.

Hardik Pandya: We’re going to bowl first. Looks like a good track. We played the first game on the other pitch, this looks similar. It’s always good to bat second here. I think it’s a big game. Just want to come out and play our best cricket, do the things we’ve spoken about in the meetings, and just enjoy the sport. We requested good wickets and we’ve been getting them. As long as you land the ball right as a bowler and play the right shots as a batter, you’re in the game. Over the years at Wankhede, chasing has worked for a lot of teams. Being our home ground, dew comes in later as well. So it’s good to know what you’re chasing, you can plan your innings accordingly. Mayank Markande and Mitchell Santner come in for Chahar and Ghazanfar.
