Yes, it was mentioned in Mahabharata as well.

Gandhari was Manglik. To get rid of the negative consequences, Gandhari was first married off to a goat, before being married to Dhritarashtra. Since Dhritrashtra was a non-Manglik, her family believed that it was imperative to get her married to Dhritarashtra only after sacrificing the goat before their marriage. Dhritarashtra got to know about this incident much later after his marriage and he was extremely furious to know it, because Gandhari’s secret first marriage technically made him her second husband!!

I think it happens in real life as well. A human marrying an animal. Due to being manglik or something.

I know in Bengal n Bihar manglik girls are married to banana tree first and after one month they marry their human groom .🙄

Very true. Elopements are also a common plot point, with couples running away to avoid unwanted unions. They never show what are the consequences of such immature decisions.

Indian TV serials often create unrealistic situations in marriage. These can include forced marriages, marriages to the dead, or elaborate rituals that stretch the boundaries of believability. One example is a show where a character married a corpse, and another features a couple discussing their honeymoon and consummation before the characters are even adults, which is seen as unrealistic and potentially harmful . smiley3

Love triangles, affairs, and other forms of infidelity are frequent occurrences in Indian TV serials, often leading to emotional turmoil and dramatic confrontations.

Here, we don't feel sad for Mohan but for the dog, who has to bear all this drama.

Mohan aka Aamir Dalvi looks quite happy marrying a dog.

(Is it my imagination, or is it true that the dog is experiencing a degree of melancholic shyness?)smiley39smiley44

@Asur, please don't ask me any questions, I am insane now, after reading these 6 weird marriages' details in our serials here, no.... never saw such serials in my life!! Check out this list of unnatural, inhuman, and immoral marriages!! ----

I feel bad for the poor dog

There was also another show with forced marriage which was awful

This show is way wilder than other shows which belong to this trope

The 4 central characters were 2 brothers and 2 sisters from different families

2nd ML loves 2nd FL when they meet for the alliance for the 1st ML and FL but during the wedding the 1st FL's obsessed lover kidnaps her and everyone thinks she eloped and the first ML marries the FL's sister (2nd FL) and the 2nd ML saves the 1st FL and they get the shock of their lives when they reach the marriage hall.

The guilt stricken parents gets the 2nd ML and 1st FL married.....then they streched the show and made it unbearable until the truth came out

The makers were sailing on two boats by showing the leads trying to move on and showing cute flashbacks between the old lovers....it was an utter mess
