I have no idea, because, I never watched this show! I recently read about it, 'falling sindhoor accidentally on her forehead' in a newspaper article.

Through normalizing toxic behavior, desensitizing viewers to serious issues like abuse or retaliation in relationships, and distorting the true meaning of marriage, such portrayals have the potential to negatively impact how society views family values over time.

In recent times, in latest serials/ movies, we have witnessed another strange phenomenon: the villain forcefully apply sindoor on her forehead, or all of a sudden a Mangalsutra / yellow thread dropped on her head from nowhere, and when she turns her head in horror, she realises that the thread was thrown by a wicked man who wanted to marry her without her consent or knowledge!! Then, the serial makers stretch the story with her accepting him as her man and will go to his home to live with him?? Such things happen only in I TV serials!! smiley6

If someone forcefully apply sindoor on a girl's forehead, is it necessary for her to abandon everything in her life and pursue him, thinking him as her husband?smiley3

Why are these serials nurturing such a horrific cult that she must choose to follow tradition and accept him as her husband?smiley44

Another gem that has been discovered recently is a scene in which a couple gets accidentally married. Yep, you read that right!

The scene shows the guy picking up a hairbrush from the dressing table when his kurta's sleeve gets hold of some sindoor. He brushes his hair and the sindoor falls on the girl's forehead and the couple gets married accidentally.

In the background, you can hear Kumar Sanu singing 'Aaja teri suni suni maang ko mai bhar dun'.smiley7

accidental shaadi

The scene is from a show called Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya. smiley3

What do you think about this villainous or 'accidental shaadi'?smiley44

the ITV serials these days are made with known no logic no ethics.

In the name of women struggle and independence they make sure how reverse happens. There are category of people who are addicted to see such suffering and wait endlessly for the suffering to end. They are encasing on the throes people who enjoy such regressive situations which are far far from reality.

The ITV serials these days are all about only views and money nothing to do with creativity and logic.

Very true. Elopements are also a common plot point, with couples running away to avoid unwanted unions. They never show what are the consequences of such immature decisions.

Indian TV serials often create unrealistic situations in marriage. These can include forced marriages, marriages to the dead, or elaborate rituals that stretch the boundaries of believability. One example is a show where a character married a corpse, and another features a couple discussing their honeymoon and consummation before the characters are even adults, which is seen as unrealistic and potentially harmful . smiley3

Love triangles, affairs, and other forms of infidelity are frequent occurrences in Indian TV serials, often leading to emotional turmoil and dramatic confrontations.

Here, we don't feel sad for Mohan but for the dog, who has to bear all this drama.

Mohan aka Aamir Dalvi looks quite happy marrying a dog.

(Is it my imagination, or is it true that the dog is experiencing a degree of melancholic shyness?)smiley39smiley44

People who believe in this superstition think that a Manglik person will cause their non-Manglik spouse's early death. To prevent this disaster, the person may be married to a tree (such as a banana or peepal), an animal, or an inanimate object.
