Even if they did just a registration marriage, they could have still done a mendhi/sangeet and reception, we could have seen sonskshi as a bride atleast, but here they have just done the registration in private and that's it, and now will just be a small party on 23rd.

Sonakshi and zaheers official wedding invite, you can hear both of them talking and inviting their guests, in the invite they are saying it's the day they officially become husband and wife, so are they getting married on 23rd June or is it just a party? It's happening at bastian. They also mentioned they have been together for 7 years.

Oh really? I find it as a way of showing respect to both sides, although I think the motivation may be to keep it fair and keep negative commentary down. It probably also appeases the elders on each side. But personally I never saw it as disrespectful. Inter-religion relationships are becoming more and more common and people can practice both faith simultaneously IMO.
