Not involving how? Usually invites are from parents and this time the two of them are sending out invites. So in that sense yes looks like both are doing their own thing and not going the family event route. But I highly doubt the parents or families are not invited or not gonna be there.

Yes there are different perspectives. I think it's completely fine to have an inter-religious relationship.. I have a few in my family, but just do an official marriage like these two are doing. In the case of Sikhi for example, when doing the Anand Karaj you're bowing down to our holy book and essentially saying they are your Guru and the only living God you both will follow... now if the same day you go ahead and bow down in a Mandir or Masjid then to me that's disrespectful. That's just one.. there are more promises you make and contradict. People nowadays don't even bother finding out the meaning of the actual religious ceremony.. it's all about clout. Other than that, I don't really care 😆

I completely understand what you are saying, and I agree that purely from the religious perspective one ceremony may very well go against the believes of another’s religions. But like I said before, usually in these situations neither side is that religious otherwise they wouldn’t be marrying someone outside of their faith. They mostly do these double ceremonies out of respect for their families or to appease their elders.
