Well, there is no 'double ceremony' imo. They already have done the registered marriage and want to do a festivity one in ten days.

SRK, e.g., did the same. Gauri and he had the registered marriage in August, but the marriage date they celebrate each year is the 25th of October, the celebration wedding.

He didn’t say that. He said nowadays kids do not ask for permission they just inform. He has not been informed about it. This is the usual reply when they don’t want agree to a rumour.
