A little too late to the party minty..cannot believe you never saw it all this time..it has been 3.5 years

but yeah pathan was good, timepass, one time watch...it hasn't aged that well though but popcorn khao..chill maro type movies which does not take itself too seriously..only wish they avoid unnecessary cameos..focus on the starcast and the story

Oh yes, charisma is a 'special effect'... and Pathaan delivered for what he had been made: showcasing the charismatic presence of SRK on screen (well, not only there but almost always when exposed to 'public viewing' smiley2).

Aditya had talked to SRK about this movie already before Zero... yet the screenplay got a bit changed with containing many, many 'Easter eggs' refering to SRK's persona (because of the 'come-back' tag). And the mix of not only showcasing SRK but also his main co-stars was perfect film-making.

As SRK is very much inclined to combine Western & Indian filmmaking, it was clear that Pathaan would be a spy movie in the vein of 'Mission Impossible' combined with a patriotism based on 'Mother India'...and yes, the main villain is a son who deserted his mother because 'she' didn't care for him (collecting a group of other like-wise disappointed formerly-patriotic persons).

Knowing SRK, there is much more hidden in this movie under the guise of entertainment... also in the characters of John, Rubina, Dr. Nandini, Colonel Lutra...and the "Raktbeej"...
