Bollywood and crime

What are actual crimes Bollywood indeed has? Sexual exploitation and drugs are most heard of and tax evasion, illegal land grab. What else?

Is there indeed more to BW than what meets the eye and more sinister things out there?

Some big stars have also incited riots through hate speech, propaganda. Some were named in Bofors type scandals, Panama papers, Paradise leaks.

Certain jobless celebs openly spread sexist, racist, casteist, communal hate at behest of political masters.

Are they indeed having links to foreign agencies or any agents infiltrating the industry?

Honest discussions and opinions please, regardless of political ideologies or personal favs. Thanks. The constant mention of BW and its influence, allegations and links to criminal activity make me curious, if there is more to it than what meets the eye.

Does Salman running his car over people sleeping on the footpath count or nah?

Salman can have whole Crime Patrol series on him given his hit and run case, killing black buck, domestic violence, hitting fans, journos, threatening media, controversial tweets on a criminal who was hanged etc.

Anyway I do not want to discuss only individual stars but crimes in general and what all scams, crimes, illegal or shady activity they do. Including more serious allegations like links to terrorists, underworld, human trafficking etc.

I know Daler Mehendi was convicted for illegal human trafficking and Mika was convicted in UAE for outraging modesty of a minor.

Shiney Ahuja was arrested for raping his maid.

Terrorist or separatist sympathisers or links to anti India elements in Pakistan or Western nations or middle east, also exist? If yes then, what extent?

I know Zaira Wasim's mom had posted anti India posts on FB few years ago.

Bollywood is indeed some part of fifth column?

You didn't mention the underworld connection, their friendship with terrorists, in Sanjat Dutt's case direct involvement in terrorism

Interesting post from Quora

"Circa 2005 I was in Dubai enroute to South Africa. My host in Dubai was invited to a big bash by some bigwig and he asked me to join him

Imagine my surprise when I learnt that a very dreaded Indian gangster would be present! (Yeah..it was that kind of party)

So here I was, a fish out of water, not sure how to behave. Should I pretend to be cool, like these do's were routine for me ? Or should I indulge my natural human curiosity ?

I managed to get a seat at a table close to Bhai and decided to observe him

Soon enough, Mr. Salman Khan turned up. Two things were immediately apparent.

Salman was heavy into his Muslim avatar... all Bhaijaans and Aadaab . Not a trace of the cosmopolitan gent we see in Mumbai

He was fawning over Bhajaan like a dog .. Nothing was too much trouble. If Bhaijaan wanted something, he just had to ask. So Salman performed his signature moves, hugged a hundred men, served food and drink to the upper echelons of the Brotherhood. All with a servile smile

This is my solitary experience of an interaction between film stars and gangsters. I was told that Johny Lever did a parody of the national anthem later, but I cannot attest to that

My understanding is that the Bollywood Masala filmmakers leading up to 2000 were unable to obtain finance through regular channels, hence they turned to mafia money with all it's consequences . Gangsters themselves saw financing as a back door entry into this glamourous world

Post 200, a new breed of film makers have emerged. The sector itself has become corporate. That is a welcome move since it promotes responsible film making, financial sobriety and accountability and professionalism

Who knows …it may even curtail the infamous casting couch

So I assume that that sordid chapter of Indian cinema is over"

These are actual crimes. But sometimes people say Bollywood politics as crimes. One actor replacing another in a film isn’t a crime. Even if it was done nefariously. There’s no precedent to throw someone in jail for that

I think He’s getting one about him soon. It covers those topics and the stardom. Kind of like a docu series

Underworld is real. Amitabh, Rishi and many had met Haji Mastan. Rishi admitted to meeting Dawood. Rajesh Khanna had performed at a wedding of Dawood's family. Anil had also met Dawood.

Sanjay Dutt went to jail under TADA for we know what.

Yes. Threats to stars were common. Preity, Roshans all got threats.

It was said many actresses had to perform for dons or please them in other ways. Even LSC has a reference to actresses serving Dawood abroad in one scene.

I also think we do have some sort of anti India elements easily getting work in BW due to popularity. Veena Malik got work in a BW film with Ashmit Patel and her Twitter is full of venomous rants. Jazzy B is openly pro Khalistan and if I am not mistaken he has sung for Akki films like Kambakht Ishq and SIK.
