Andsouth remakes is not new thing. Most of even dilip Kumar movies are remakes of South movies. So bw has been remaking south or hw right from 50s-60s

Yes and many south movies were also remake or copy of BW
And of course both south and north borrowed liberally and unabashedly from HW
Bollywood doesn't have anything new to offer currently and isn't able to compete with other content offerings out there. The pandemic, boycott trends etc just added to it. The main problem is Bollywood itself.
kya pata hit ho jaye lmao
Bollywoodās problem is that itās too hell bent on bending over for Alia Bhatt, Ranbir and all these spoiled rich bratty star kids.
Now every star kid wants a career without having an iota of talent. They believe that if Alia can be groomed and forced onto audiences than why not the rest of us.
The constant catering to star kids is the reason for the downfall. I know nepotism has always been around, but itās never been so full throttle as it has today. Movies are being crafted to hide star kids weaknesses; as opposed to movies being made for the audiences

Major reason is people s taste have changed and they won't stand for mediocre films anymore. Additionally they have become more cautious in spending money.
Even though we have these factors which is to be considered, good films will always work and the content has to be improved.

BB2 was made as an entertainer, and it succeeded. Not mediocre doesn't mean every film has to be a cinematic Mona Lisa. It's got to reach the intended audience. That's all. It starts with the writing, then technicalities, then acting/stardom. The days of star power alone putting bums on seats are gone, and thank God.

It wasn't made as an entertainer?š I saw it, and to me it seemed 100% masala entertainer.
