I think the novelty of the script was what worked in that movie's case
here my opinion will be unpopular and Who agrees, wont reply because of attack(which is happening often now in BW forum).

Please express your opinion. you have every right to.
And don't worry about attacks or trolls, you should be confident that they don't matter in the long run:-)
Movies dont run on star power any more. After watching OTT, content became king no matter whoever performs. Word of mouth publicity works best.
Most of the so called superstar look unfit for character. No matter how much VFX they use, Audience remember their age n make fun of them Calling them "buddha".
lame story, poor script, pathetic execution and boring actors.
actors are over paid, none of them deserve, lot of these movie sbudget is inflated because of this and hence have to make to massive money to be profitable. only some big special effects films require that much budget
good if this equalises brings down their salaries
control budget, focus on quality and even 40 cr movie will be profitable

There you have your answer.
You didn't include in your poll options, but bad writing is the primary answer. Everything else is secondary.
Because of pandemic, people don't have as much money to burn. What they have, they spend judiciously on actual entertainment. Thanks to OTT, they have alternatives. Thanks to those alternatives, they've been exposed to entertaining movies and shows. Thanks to all that, audience has changed.
Bottom line in all this is Bollywood and its terrible writing and terrible moviemaking. 1 or 2 stars, a hit remix, and a couple of foreign locations no longer will give you a hit movie.
Invest in actual writing and script and filmmaking instead of 50% of the budget going to stars. You'll start seeing the difference.
Forget the boycotters. They're just taking (dis)credit where it's not due.

Trolls attacks my posts the most with all sorts of overt and covert race based, country based and even religion based insults, taunts and disrespect in the most pathetic way possible.
But the worst part is that, they even cry foul themselves and act like some victims 😲
can you believe this
LOL

But what about you gloating about Salman R getting stabbed?
It clearly means Aishwarya was using Salman name for clout and sympathy. If she loved him she should have accepted him publicly....
