I apologise for my derisive comments on Sushant. I am sorry if it hurt anyone's sentiments. I am not empathetic towards suicides at all. I felt bad, but I will never support such drastic decision. To me it applies to everyone who commits suicide, be it a farmer, an actor, or any other human being. I have seen the adverse effects of it personally. It take people/parents lifetime to get over its impact. Its ill sounding I know but try put yourself in someone's show you will know how difficult it is. I stand by my point, and I will always.
Why what I said in some thread is discussed here? It was closed for a reason.
Thanks for your post :) I actually used to be very harsh and judgemental towards people who killed themselves, mainly because of the trauma their family & loved ones are put through.
But I started working at a crisis line for a bit and most of the suicide callers would talk about how the world would be a better place if they were gone and how their families would be better off without them because they'd think they are being a burden on their loved ones etc etc.
Imagine that you're in such a dark place where your self-esteem is so low or non-existent that you think you are not worth anything anymore and nobody should be burdened by your troubles, especially your loved ones. People feel embarrassed that their family members have to see them in such a "bad state" and take the step of killing themselves to not be a burden on anyone, especially on their loved ones.
Suicide is the worst thing and I would never encourage it of course. It's just very layered and complex and is mostly done to not just end their own pain but to relieve their loved ones from the burden of their existence.
