Thanks for your post :) I actually used to be very harsh and judgemental towards people who killed themselves, mainly because of the trauma their family & loved ones are put through.

But I started working at a crisis line for a bit and most of the suicide callers would talk about how the world would be a better place if they were gone and how their families would be better off without them because they'd think they are being a burden on their loved ones etc etc.

Imagine that you're in such a dark place where your self-esteem is so low or non-existent that you think you are not worth anything anymore and nobody should be burdened by your troubles, especially your loved ones. People feel embarrassed that their family members have to see them in such a "bad state" and take the step of killing themselves to not be a burden on anyone, especially on their loved ones.

Suicide is the worst thing and I would never encourage it of course. It's just very layered and complex and is mostly done to not just end their own pain but to relieve their loved ones from the burden of their existence.

Don't you think you're confusing people advocating against the gross degree of nepotism that exists in bollywood with the everyday variety of nepotism like recommending your cousins or sisters for jobs or kids taking over mom and pop shops of their parents? These false comparisons are just that--false. The hollow nepotism of bollywood that you're advocating is not the same as the possibility of your kids' taking over your business down the line. Same thing with Trump administration--it's not the same as kids taking over their mom and pop shop.

Having said that, of course, we all believe that our kids are extraordinary and most of us would move mountains for them, but does that mean the rest of the world should dance in joy when these rich kids with no virtues or reality check are foisted into influential roles in the public eye because their daddies and uncles have traded favors?

Also, no one has denied that it's their money and their free will--LET THAT BE HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR--once and for all--(I'm gonna repost this to anyone who repeats this blasphemy again) but the argument doesn't end there. I personally wouldn't care if Mahesh Bhatt spent his entire fortune to buy an island for Alia to be settled there for the rest of their lives, for example.smiley36 At the same time, they're in the public eye and their livelihood depends on public's opinion of them. If they want public adulation, they need to impress the public. They can coast along up to a point with the facade they put up but guess what? There's a tipping point to everything, they've been busted and public is NOT impressed with their ways.

The high handed "elites" have made their game too blatantly obvious for them to continue coasting along and making millions when all they provide are overhyped characters and bitchfests in the name of entertainment. Much like any business that wants to do well will have to adapt to people's needs, they will have to take public opinion into account to do well. Otherwise they will be panned and rightfully so.

Lastly, you might not agree with the level of this outrage but the disgusting level of nepotism in bollywood is worth at least a small sliver of outrage. I've never seen the nepo apologists acknowledge that and I don't expect them to ever because it's their bias blind spot whether they admit it or not.

oye...I explained my stand....now if u or someone else gets confused over it ....that would not be my problem....my concern for BW...and its rich people.....or those who want to be like those rich people...or those that can't be like those rich people...is only limited to entertainment and nothing else.....I am not a BW sudharak...I buy what they sell...if I don't like the ingredients that its made of...I don't buy it.....its that simple...

and yess don't buy their products.....the product will disappear slowly like that outsider Tripti Dimri explained using the example of besan ki barfi..😆

If you or anyone else thinks that i support the bullying, harassing part of BW ...then don't flare up if I say that u support the rape threats.....because despite my saying this everytime....u guys just don't get it...so everytime u say I am supporting bullying, I will say u support rape threats....deal??

so it was u who started all of this?? I thought it was Colossial...I didn't read the whole thread..

I am sorry but who in their right minds supports suicide....that doesn't mean that u can't show some empathy......can you imagine...losing hope...so much..that you think that ur life is not worth living and that u are better being dead....the pain that is involved...that u are unable to think what ur family will go through after you are gone....somebody giving up their life is not a decision...its desperation...I don't think that anyone would give up their life if in their mind they had a ray of hope somewhere...its easy for us to say...oh he should have done this...he should have done that.....but I am sure that they exhaust all their avenues...people are not kind to when a person is living..all those options we think ...were maybe not available to that person....seriously unless we are in that mindset God forbid we won't understand...so in a way u r right also that empathizing is difficult...but atleast not being harsh towards them can be done.

This is cheating. Bullying was not even mentioned here! 😆

The cause for heartburn is the excessive matra mein nepotism. Taata laga hua hai kids ka market mein utarne ka, aur audience ko unki acting jhelwane ka. 😭

I mean, you can simply choose to ignore this debate, if you are only interested in what Bollywood sells. Unless you want to go out of your way to support nepotism. (Again, we're not talking bullying or rape-threats here.) 💔

Bollywood Sudharak😆. What I find most ridiculous is that people think by just sitting in their homes and being miles away from Bollywood and by just hating on SM they can remove all the evils of Bollywood. Like really 😆. No one is saying Bollywood is perfect or has no bad practices. Of course it does. But how do people want to change it- by only hating on SM. When it comes to real action no one does anything. All this energy spent on Sadak 2. But why is no one spending this energy on Vidyut’s new movie. Why aren’t they liking it or promoting his movie on SM? Look at lootcase , it’s actually a good movie. But no one cares. They only want to hate on Alia and her movie but not promote a good outsider movie. Why is Gunjan Saxena still no 1 on Netflix? Why hasn’t that been boycotted? I can assure you even Sadak 2 won’t be boycotted and it will be trending as well. Because everyone wants to do the easy part of hating but not the actual work of watching an outsider movie.

That's just you, and I won't deny that you have been bearing the brunt of other aggressive nepo supporters and alia pankhaas.😆 Same way, trust me when I say that I've heard all sorts of cacophony of pathetic namecallings and "arguments" against the public outrage too. Not to mention they have been putting words in people's mouths to defend their pathetic attempts at arguments for nepotism. I'd say they can dish out but can't take it back in their own flavor.

Anyway, I just had to point out the difference between the disgusting level of bollywood nepotism and the mundane kind that exists everywhere all the time cuz they're two different things -- and magnitude matters. It flies up to a point till it starts insulting people's intelligence.

But I'll give you that you don't support bullying. Same way I don't support rape/death threats--even though I question the phony ways Alia etc have adopted to address them.

Ohh Myyy Gawwwd....the sense of entitlement is so amazing......no wonder you guys keep telling everyone what not to do...😆....why should I ignore the debate.....how about u ignore my post😆....I will always support what I think is right....do u think I will support highly educated people like Kriti or rich people like Bhumi...just because they are outsiders??..I will support the nepo kids that entertain me or the outsiders that entertain me....

But why does it bother you that people are hating Sadak 2? It's a justified outrage even though you might not think so. What you're saying is literally like asking all the american corporations to just fire all the white people and hire from only black population to combat racism for which there was a public outrage too. 😆 You never run out of these pathetic defenses, do you? LOL

P.S. Sending a strong publicly endorsed message to people like Alia/Bhatts, etc is the best thing public has ever done as far I'm concerned. 👏 They needed a reality check big time.
