First time I am seeing the power of public affecting Indian Film industry. Public wrath is justified.

This thread was super entertaining 😆 I wasted half an hour of my life reading all these pages and couldn’t stop.
Akki and his trailer was mentioned only in the first few pages. Lol

I'm baffled by the media reporting and how every new theory coming every hour mock his death without them realising it. I said this before that we all should fight together towards common goal of making environment safer and acceptable for people to discuss their problems openly. Holding and targeting a singled out target won't achieve anything. Probably that person will give up of promising career and you can rejoice over the achievement but to whole its contribution will be zero. It could have been a great opportunity to create mental awareness but "a genius guy cant take his life, he must be murdered" narrative is more meatier than a promising guy gave up on life dealing with difficulties. This itself is bigger problem than most are fighting against.

To be honest, you also said that Alia is stronger mentally than Sushant because she didn't get financially abused by anyone like Sushant did. That was very uncalled for because it didn't just insult Sushant but every abuse victim that it's their fault for being abused.

Wise decision👍🏼. These times are not conducive for entertainment.

I had stated this in another thread of Laxmi Bomb.

Hopefully next year would be good.

It does. I hope if someday when I am able to detach my personal experience from it, I will be able to surely. I know i am wrong. I accept it.

I don't understand one thing, Should we take this trend and all seriously?? I had done that in the past but recently came across this - according to statistica.com "Social network Twitter is particularly popular in the United States, where as of July 2020, the microblogging service had audience reach of 62.55 million users. Japan and the India were ranked second and third with 49.1 and 17 million users respectively".

17 million but india's population is 1.3billion. how is everyone taking this social media trend seriously?

This covid 19 has made people depend more on online resources...isn't it true that even after trending , some movies doesn't make much impact on box office whereas some movies even w/o trends can create wonders at box office.

I think all of this is just an illusion; once covid19 gets over(vaccine and all) and theaters starts functioning, people will flock to watch movies. but yes, till that time people might get overwhelmed by social media trends and all.

I don’t know if he really committed suicide or not. I will wait for the official announcement. But what’s really bothering me is that some people are saying “he didn’t look like he was depressed”. Does depression has any face? Chester bennington’s wife posted a video of him a few days before his suicide where he looked really happy and cheerful but in reality he was suffering from depression. Only the one who is suffering from depression knows his/her mental state.

Exactly yes. It's all internal. It's too dense and dark, all what we can do is just an assumption. We can never know how and what is bothering that person.

Everyone always put up a happy face like everything is going smooth, even when it's not. If we show a troubled, bothered, or puzzled face we will be questioned and made feel sorry and someone will random advice something unintelligent causing more damage. That's why creating a better and acceptable environment is must, irrespective of everything else. That should be prime focus, revenge, dusronko sabak sikhana can wait.

No one is saying Bollywood is perfect or has no bad practices. Of course it does. But how do people want to change it- by only hating on SM. When it comes to real action no one does anything. All this energy spent on Sadak 2. But why is no one spending this energy on Vidyut’s new movie. Why aren’t they liking it or promoting his movie on SM? Look at lootcase , it’s actually a good movie. But no one cares. They only want to hate on Alia and her movie but not promote a good outsider movie. Why is Gunjan Saxena still no 1 on Netflix? Why hasn’t that been boycotted? I can assure you even Sadak 2 won’t be boycotted and it will be trending as well. Because everyone wants to do the easy part of hating but not the actual work of watching an outsider movie.

Actually, emraan hashmi's ' The body' , arjun's 'panipat' and kiara's 'guilty' were also on trending but that doesn't make them good films. Any new film that releases on netflix is watched by many people collectively that makes it to trending. I can only see the nepotism enablers and the ignorants or the ppl who like watching patriotic movies talking about gunjan saxena. Rest you know better.
