Excerpt

Two little girls in blue, holding each other's hand as best friends do, hopped skipped and jumped down the cobbled path. Their ponytails bounced just as joyously.

They ran down the sloping lawns leaving behind the great big mansion surrounded by manicured English gardens, to be enveloped by the tea shrubs.

One was 'Her-Happiness' and the other was 'Her-Highness'.

It didn't matter to Her-Highness that Her-Happiness's chapped winter cheeks were nothing like her silky smooth ones. That her friend's faded outgrown dress was no match to her beautiful convent uniform.

They made kites soar and hearts melt, until it all changed one day.

Hello All,

How are you darlings? I am good. Happy Diwali to you all (Belated wala)

Finally, here I am, after a 6 month hiatus.

I know that it's been long, but trust me, it couldn't be helped. Most of you may have forgotten the story and I only have myself to blame. So, to make this an easier transition, I plan to update the summary first before updating the new chapter ... hopefully this week.

I am not going to make any promises about time lines this time around, friends. My life has changed considerably since I first began writing and I travel more often than not, these days. But I promised to complete this story, and so shall I.

Looking forward to continuing this story without major roadblocks 😆

Some stories have a timelessness about them ... open the book again and the fragrance of the pressed rose swirls out, engulfing you in it's delicate scent :)
