Thanks sandhya for the pm. Got to rrad this story only today. But once I started I was just gripped by the srory. Your writing is so evocative . I really wish to go on that train journey in ootti.so a lot of past . A lot of pain. Many lives intertwined hopelessly.nice pace. Loving it n looking forward to ur pms. Thanks a lot dear

Dear Friends,

Hello! All is well I hope :)

Here goes chapter- 5. Hope you enjoyed it.

I apologise once again for the delay.

As you can see, the chapters are long and time-consuming to write, to the level that I'm tempted to split the chapters in two and post so that you can get weekly updates on a fixed day. But that would take away the essence of the chapter. I remain indecisive on this. Hope to find some middle ground solution soon.

However, month of March doesn't look too bad as of now. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed, so that I can write without distractions, so that you can get weekly updates.

Let me know your thoughts peeps. I welcome good, bad, ugly, harsh and honest-to-God reviews.

Each chapter evokes so many emotions.

Your growth as a writer is amazing Sandy!

How I love reading this story and wait impatiently for the updates.

Khushi wanting to replay the horrible confrontation scene again and again is so natural.

For I think we all do that.

We hurt ourselves by replaying such events in our minds.

Thankfully Madhu came over as the voice of sanity.

Khushi cannot keep running all her life from the one event which has marked her for life.

She will have to face her demons(namely Aarti)😉

I absolutely loved the confrontationscene between Khushi and Arnav.

There was antagonism along with the chemistry between the two.

Arnav has a low opinion of journalists.

That along with the poison his mother has managed to spew against Khushi has made him so antagonistic and unfair with regard to Khushi.

Waiting now to see what'll happen next.

Lavanya proved here that real friends do exist.

Loved how she was there to protect her friend .

And that too in spite of the obvious attraction she felt for Arnav Singh, the Raizada!

I can only imagine how Khushi feels...But the quandary that I can empathise with is her tendency to replay the whole scenario over and over again. The affinity to 'what-could-have-been's. I suppose, we all do it... think about situations, imagining numerous scenarios of what could have been said or done differently to make it more bearable. Nothing changes the reality of course, but I guess it's just our way to deal with things...

It seems there's more to the past between Raizadas and Raos apart from Anjali's mishap. The plot thickens!! 😆 Waiting to know more about it. Also, can I just reiterate, I love Atha!! I think this is my favourite version of Madhu Bua, ever!! 😃

After that cryptic note of yours regarding part 2...[ you don't want to miss it and all that 😆] Obviously, anticipation was sky-high. And boy, did the chapter match up to it or what!!??

I wasn't quite expecting an Arnav-Khushi face off so soon. But, like I've said before, you love dashing all our speculations. 😆 Not just that, Arnav's vehemence was also quite startling. I knew he'd be angry... but I had hoped he'd not be blinded by prejudice and rage, at least not as much as Aarti.

He dislikes journalists, probably owing to past experiences but to just think the worse of Khushi without pausing to hear her side was rather irrational.

Perhaps, his rage is a little self-directed, too? Perhaps it is fuelled by the fact that he fell for the charms of a woman, whom his mother detests deeply?

I just cannot accept that he too blames Khushi for what happened to Anjali.

And to think that a girl who hasn't visited the place in years/decades...a place where her family had to face insults and slander ... is back there just to write a murder mystery about her childhood best-friend?? It's absurd...

Poor Khushi... I understand her shock and hurt. Arnav has already stamped her as guilty in his head. I doubt he would have accepted the truth even if she had tried to explain it to him... But, I'm glad she reacted, finally. Mr. Raizada definitely needed to be reminded that the world doesn't dance to his [or his mother's] tunes.

Okay, I've ranted for too long...again! I'm totally absorbed into the story already. Can't wait to find out what happens next!!!! 😃

So after Part 1, all I could think of was Madhu Atha and how spunky she is. I mean I really want to know her story too (not saying you should tell it but if you were to - I'd be very interested!) Of course, I also wanted to know the Paati and Aarti-Shashi secret.

But come Part 2 and all coherent thought has disappeared.

I understand Aarti's reaction

But I am stumped at Arnav's. I think somewhere I expected him to be more level-headed about this Khushi episode - not amiable just rational. Is he reacting so because of how he feels for her? Physically more than anything else? Children / siblings - especially those so close in age to Khushi and Anju - wouldn't they be a little more measured in their reaction?

Or was there more to what happened after Anju's disappearance given the vehemence of his reaction to journos? Is this also a reaction to all that Arnav has gone through in the years that Aarti Raizada refused to see sense and focus on her remaining children?

So many questions! :) Perfect for this time in the story - you know there are so many layers waiting to be peeled back

Bring it on! Can't wait to see how Destiny (and by that I mean you, of course), brings these two face to face again (and thereafter!)
