Mohsin Akhtar Mir has recently embarked on a new chapter in his personal life after marrying Nidhaa Bhatt. The actor and businessman shared glimpses from his wedding celebrations and reception on social media, giving his followers a look at the festivities with his wife. While the pictures have been circulating online, a social media post shared by his former wife Urmila Matondkar has also caught the attention of netizens.
After Mohsin shared his wedding and reception pictures, Urmila took to social media and re shared a post about love, loyalty and time. The post read, "I like expensive things like love, loyalty & time." The timing of her post has led some social media users to speculate about whether it was connected to Mohsin's wedding. However, there has been no confirmation from Urmila that the post was aimed at her former husband or had anything to do with his marriage.

Mohsin, meanwhile, shared a series of pictures from his reception with Nidhaa and penned a heartfelt note for his wife. Expressing what she means to him, he wrote, "You didn’t just become my wife. You became my home, my peace, and my favorite part of every day. I’m grateful to Allah for bringing you into my life, and I promise to cherish you, stand by you, and love you through every chapter of our journey."
He further spoke about their future together and celebrated the beginning of their new journey as a married couple. Mohsin wrote, "Here’s to us, to forever, and to the beautiful life we’re about to build together." He ended his message on an emotional note, writing, "Thank you for being mine, my love. Forever grateful for you."

He had announced the wedding on June 14 by sharing pictures from the celebrations. Along with the photographs, he had written, "Keep your soul pure, heal along the way, and trust that Allah’s script is always better."
Meanwhile, Urmila and Mohsin's relationship has remained a subject of public interest following their separation. The couple got married on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony held at Urmila's Mumbai residence. After several years of marriage, reports of trouble in their relationship surfaced.
According to The Indian Express, the couple reportedly hit a rough patch after eight years of marriage, following which Urmila initiated legal separation proceedings in Bandra, Mumbai. Hindustan Times had reported in September 2024 that Urmila had filed for divorce around four months earlier. A source cited by the publication claimed that the separation was not on mutual terms, although the reason behind their split was not disclosed.
With Mohsin now beginning married life with Nidhaa, his wedding and reception posts have once again brought his personal life into focus. Urmila's subsequent social media post has also sparked discussion online, although it remains unclear whether the actress intended it as a reference to her former husband's wedding.
