Phew! that was some adventure for Arnav and Khushi... The cliffhanger in Chap 12 made me think of various scenarios featuring goons and all but not a panic attack. You brought it out very well. It seems like Khushi still has a long way to go before healing.

Sandhya, The art works you selected so far are quite fitting to the story you are writing. BTW, Dali lived in New York during WW II and on/off later as well. His widely recognized The Persistence of Memory is in the collection at Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. The second, The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory is in the Dal Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. The melting watches were supposedly inspired by melting camembert cheese on a hot day (per Dali himself). I have seen the first since it is in NY, but not the second.

For Book 1, the painting plus Khushi-Arnav, to me, depicts the passage of time since Anjali's vanishing and how it affected those closest to her, namely Arnav and Khushi.
The terrain reflected in Arnav's aviators represents the Nilgiris; aviators hiding the acknowledged pain buried deep; Khushi, outwardly serene, but a guilt-ridden nomad; and both meet up in a secluded location in the Nilgiris.
The 20 years can be thought of as a "frozen dream-wake" state for all affected to fully wake up from and be as "normal" as possible, but alas time passed and the memories continue to linger. However, the melting watches depict the fading power and stability of the "limbo" state just as the ants on the red watch depict decay of "Pandora's box", The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory, to then be fully awake for rebirth of life and hope!!

For Book 2, the painting plus Khushi-Arnav, to me, depicts the publication of Khushi's fictional crime thriller based on her journalistic insights into police procedurals and thus unleashing a storm in the Nilgiris which will dislodge the closely held "secrets" to float to the surface. The plane surface from before now shows individual bricks depicting a breakdown in binding relationships and the destructive nature of humanity. Arnav looks like the hero cop in her thriller, smart-aleck attitude, kinda rumpled look, shadowy jawline , but no lopsided smile or any reflection in his shades!! I see a smile and a much calmer demeanor in Khushi depicting a stable relationship with Arnav who will stand with her through the adversity in-spite of his mother.

Curious about the third piece of art you will select.

PS: This is strictly my opinion based on what I have read about Dali, his art and what I feel about HoT.

Ok who is that man that was stalking! He can't be the one who kidnaps every girl or is he? Why are only girls who are kids being kidnapped? Is. It like they are selling them ? Sorry my mind is doing its job don't mind :D

And what could I say abt arnav khushi scene? Its perfect from the start to the end .. And your arnav is incredibly sweet and insanely hot ! Glad they could share their feeling with each other.

When you write, I can see and feel the scene as if it is happening live. This update was like mystery, love, emotions and affection all of them there, reminding me of a movie. I can well imagine how much a gentleman your Arnav is and how much guilt ridden your Khushi is. I can also feel evil forces in the background including his mom and sheetal or shreya--can not remember her name but do not like her. She seems kind of sadist and obsessed to me but future story will tell.

Wow what a story. I just came across it and just finished reading the 13 chapters then I realised its still on going. Really different plot hope u update really soon. I'm intrigued
