Not sure about others, many of the games, which were played during night time where I am, I would watch them only for this guy and go to sleep after he was out. What a great batsman who gave us all some memorable innings.

Happy Retirement and Enjoy Life!

It has been quite a time that I saw him playing international cricket, so that much sentiment is not there...But still I remember him hitting sixes in tests which at that time was extremely rare...his avg. and sr in tests is awesome...also his jodi with Sachin, it was a treat to watch...and his pull shots...and also his familiar way of getting caught out on slips...him hitting fours in first over sometimes on first ball itself...his frank replies...
So yeah thanks for memories!

He was never my fav because may a times he over shadowed Sachin with his fierce batting. He was such a brilliant sportsperson to watch when he was on the pitch. I feel really bad for he didn't get a chance to play his well-deserving last match and bid a good bye from the field.
Nevertheless, happy retirement to him.

Well thanks to all the well wishers of Indian Cricket residing in BCCI.

I hope players like Sachin, Rahul, Ganguly, etc. wake up and give this guy a great send off that he deserves. Indian team is going to need a lot of rebuilding from its current status and there are no guarantees but the Indian cricket shined with some special players like Sachin, Veeru, Saurav, Dravid, VVS, Zahir and Kumble. Not sure if Indian cricket in the era of IPL will ever be the same as played by these great ones. Even the BCCI administrator responsible for India's elite status in World Cricket is gone.
