29 YO Punjabi Singer Inder Kaur's body found in CANAL days after reports of her abduction, found DEAD

The Punjabi entertainment industry has been shaken after a young singer, Yashinder Kaur, known to many as Inder Kaur, was found dead days after she went missing under troubling circumstances in Ludhiana.

Reports from PTC Punjab state that the 29 year old artist had not been seen since May 13, leading to growing concern among her family and close contacts. Her disappearance quickly turned into a police matter as the family intensified efforts to locate her. The case took a grim turn on Tuesday when her body was recovered from the Neelo canal around late morning hours. After identification by her relatives, authorities shifted the remains to Civil Hospital in Samrala for postmortem and legal procedures.

The investigation had already begun earlier when the singer’s brother, Jotinder Singh, approached the police and filed a complaint. Acting on the information provided, an FIR was registered on May 15 naming two individuals, Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha from Moga and his associate Karamjit Singh.

As per the complaint details, the singer had left her home on the evening of May 13 saying she was going out to purchase groceries. She was travelling in her Ford Figo car at the time. However, she did not return home afterward, and repeated attempts by the family to contact her failed, raising alarm and prompting a search operation.

During initial inquiries, the family reportedly learned that Yashinder Kaur was familiar with Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Bhalur village in Moga district. It has also been alleged in the complaint that the accused had expressed an intention to marry her, which she had refused.

Police are now continuing their investigation to establish the exact sequence of events that led to her disappearance and death. Officials are examining all angles while awaiting forensic and postmortem reports that may provide further clarity.

The incident has left the local music community in shock, with many mourning the sudden and tragic loss of a young artist whose career and life ended under deeply distressing circumstances.
