lol new comparison topic😆...it's one's personal choice to like someone...i like Sid and Ranbir and it has nothing to do with them being an outsider or a star kid

I think I judge each individually. I do like Ranbir, sometimes Kareena, Hrithik, but tend to prefer outsiders because I think they are generally better looking (especially if female) and or more talented.
IMO if a director has the choice of casting an unknown kid or a kid with a famous family, the only 2 ways the unknown gets the role is 1) it is a bad film the star kid doesn't want or 2) the unknown is substantially better (actor or looks or dancer or all three) than the star kid.

For me doesn't matter if they are star kids or non star kids, basically if they could act and are good looking then I am fine
I love Salman and I like SRK and akshay from all the heroes. From heroines I love Deepika, Kareena and
Iike katrina priyanka.

So at the end it doesn't matter for me whether someone is star kid or not

I admit to having pretty different standards for judging starkids and outsiders. The reason being I think to even enter the industry an outsider would have to impress someone with something, be it looks, potential or talent. A starkid is mostly launched on the name of the parent and the relationship the launcher has with them. I am harder on someone like Sonam for acting than a Kat.
That said, I like who I like because they have impressed me not critics, outsider or starkid. One of my most favorite actors ever is Raj Kapoor, I collect movies and books about him. But all of his descendants were disappointing. I was very hard on Bebo and Karishma, but they were the first of his descendants to make me actually think had some talent. But no one reminded me of Raj Kapoor quite like Ranbir. I remember crying in the theater during Barfi because I saw so much of Rak Kapoor in him than for the actual film . 😳.

Kajol is another person I like who is the 4th generation actress in her family. I also really like SRK, Ranveer who are outsiders while I am harsh on outsider Sid and insider Imran for being wooden. Who I consider talented is who I spend money on, outsider or starkid in the end.

I think aversion to star kids comes when they start flaunting their family/background/status etc
Sonam saying pind log
Kareena saying I'm best because I'm a kapoor
Imran khan saying he still leads a better life than others despite his flops

To give ranbir credit, he never actually flaunted his family and let his work speak!

One may not become a fan of an actor because he/she is a star-kid but as an audience, including me, it is easier to accept why they are part of it in the first place. One would not be surprised if a producer is spending Rs 80 crore in the debut film vehicle of a star son but will be puzzled when the same amount is spent on the movie starring an outsider. An outsider is not good enough for a big-budget film even for his second or third film, but the same issue is not questioned when the amount is spent on the star-kid's film. It seems but obvious.

One is also more curious know to about the star-kids because you can associate them with their star-parent/relative. I remember seeing Kareena Kapoor's photo in Delhi Times before her debut as a kid and for me her credentials of being Karishma Kapoor's sister was good enough for her to be on the first page. In her time, an outsider would not have got the same space and neither it would have interested anyone. Even now the situation is same. People will discuss for pages here if Aryan Khan decides to debut in Bollywood tomorrow. Everybody had something to comment on Tiger Shroff's Heropanti, but people commented for hardly any pages on Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi's trailer. The curiosity level for a star-kid is higher and it is something even producers tap on. If the star-kid is good enough, he will succeed. There are more opportunities for them in BW and there is no denying that.

A Bollywood career for a star-kid seems but natural. I know who Jhanvi Kapoor is, but I cannot recall the name of the actress opposite Tiger Shroff even though I thought she was decent. That's the advantage star-kids have.

His acting is much better than Sara, Jhanvi, Ananya, Arjun and other star kids. His acting is even better than his wife Shilpa. Anyone agree...
