Chapter 2

Nikhil lied down in his bed thinking deeply about his relationship with Lajo. Why so attachment? Why so likeness towards her? He couldn't answer any of his questions. It was a mysterious feeling for him.

The next morning, he woke up to his mother shouting her throat out at him. He was late as usual and his dad wasn't going to spare him this time. His mother lectured him about how careless he is and how important it is for him to take up his father's responsibilities of the business. Nikhil rarely paid attention to any of his mother's lectures. He got up and started getting ready for the office.

He wasn't very interested in the official matters and spent most of his time talking to lajo on the phone which was extremely disliked by his parents. According to his mother, Lajo was a hindrance to Nikhil's progress as a businessman. Lajo was therefore disliked by Nikhil's mom to an extreme extent. Nikhil on the other hand being unaware of his mother's opinion about lajo, kept weaving dreams of his life with her.. Both of them were in love but never confessed it. But Nikhil decided to do so very soon. He was very concerned about continuing his life with Lajo.

It was midnight when Lajo's phone rang. It was Nikhil. He had called her to talk about something important. Lajo got scared as it was the first time ever that nikhil called her up so late to talk about an important matter. She couldn't wait to hear what it was. Nikhil hesitated to say anything. Lajo was tensed and so forced him to speak up. Nikhil hesitantly started the conversation by saying that its time they think about their lives together. "We've been friends for almost 15 years now. We've spent our childhood together and even u know that we can't live without each other". Lajo was shocked and asked what he meant. "I know u know what I mean and I need your answer" Lajo couldn't believe that Nikhil was in love with her too. She was extremely happy to know that it was not one-sided love, unlike what she thought. She opened up her heart too because she knew she wouldn't get a better chance to speak up about her feelings.

Both of the love birds were happy as hell, unaware of what Nikhil's mother's opinion was. The next day, Nikhil planned to talk about his relationship with Lajo to his mother. Nikhil was sure that his mom would agree but to his shock, she said a clear NO for the relationship. Nikhil was shocked and devastated. According to him, his mother's rejection was baseless and unnecessary which caused him to be extremely angry with her.

Her mother couldn't bare her son's behavior. She couldn't see him so depressed and angry. Nikhil did not even talk to his mom for almost a week, which forced his mom to give up and agree for their relationship. Nobody knew what was decreed for lajo and nikhil. They couldn't wait to get married but their parents wanted them to be settled in life before that.
