The Mumbai Police have taken statements from the managers of actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty as part of their investigation. Simultaneously, the Crime Branch has escalated its inquiry by reconstructing the events surrounding the shooting incident at Rohit Shetty's residence. This reconstruction included meticulously tracing the transportation of a scooter from Pune to Mumbai, a crucial element of the investigation.
The reconstruction process involved the four individuals currently in custody: Swapnil Sakat, Aditya Gayaki, Siddharth Yenpure, and Samarth Pomaji. Investigators meticulously retraced each step of their alleged journey, aiming to verify key details and gather additional evidence.

Throughout this process, the Crime Branch team consistently interrogated the accused. Their statements were carefully cross-referenced with the reconstructed journey to ensure accuracy. The entire exercise was recorded on video, which will serve as crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.
Financial details about the case
New financial details have emerged as the investigation continues. The Mumbai Crime Branch revealed that during the scene recreation, the accused disclosed that Shubham Lonkar, the main accused, provided an additional Rs 11,000 after the scooter was delivered to Mumbai. This revelation adds a new layer to the financial aspects of the case.
Initial police statements had indicated a payment of Rs 40,000. However, as the investigation progressed, more detailed information came to light.
The Mumbai Crime Branch initially reported that the accused received Rs 40,000. Further investigation, including the recent scene recreation, revealed that the total amount received was Rs 51,000. Of this, Rs 30,000 was used to purchase the scooter, while the remaining Rs 21,000 was spent otherwise.
Accused in custody
Sources indicate that Praveen Lonkar, the sixth accused, is expected to be taken into custody from jail within the next two to three days, pending the completion of legal processes. This marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation.
However, two weeks after the incident, the shooter and one accomplice remain at large. Police are actively working to locate and apprehend them, pursuing all leads in this high-profile case. The search continues as authorities strive to bring all involved parties to justice.
