Actor Ranbir Kapoor went live on Instagram on Saturday to mark the anniversary of his lifestyle brand Arks, using the interaction to share updates on his film slate.

During the session, Ranbir confirmed that Ramayana will be his next release and is slated for a Diwali debut in cinemas. He added that Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, will arrive after Ramayana. The film was earlier expected to release in August, but Ranbir’s remarks suggest a later window, possibly late this year or early next year.

Addressing questions about delays, Ranbir acknowledged that his projects often take longer to complete. He noted that while some actors work on films that release within months, his choices usually involve larger scale productions that demand more time. He expressed hope that the final results would justify the wait.

Speaking about future ventures, he revealed that Brahmastra Part Two Dev could begin earlier than anticipated. He also confirmed that Animal Park, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is in the pipeline and is expected to go on floors by mid next year.

When fans brought up sequels to Rockstar, Tamasha and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir responded candidly. He said he would be open to Rockstar 2 if director Imtiaz Ali manages to develop a strong script for Jordan. On Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, he observed that the story had a satisfying conclusion, though he hinted that a film in a similar space could be possible.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol reacted to Ranveer Singh’s popular line “ghayal hun ghatak hun” during a recent interaction, acknowledging the cultural recall of the dialogue.

Love & War, reportedly inspired in part by Sangam, is expected to centre on a complex relationship set against a 1960s backdrop. Further casting and production details are awaited officially.
