Sabah, I know I haven't posted here for a while... but believe me, I have been reading each and every post.... and you guys all have described mother-son relatioship so beautifully that I feel short of words... will post my thoughts soon....
you guessed it right....I'm a very honest person... if I don't do my work, I'm not shy to say so and accept my mistake... but the fact is you guys write so beautiful that I get lost in reading everyone's perspective... your thread, Mou's MN thread and some amazing VMs, all the post make me get lost in MN dreamland... and then I realize that time flies quickly....😆Originally posted by: a little faith
Dearest Jess,
Firstly I never ask for blind loyalty. I only ever want you to write if you feel inspired to do so. I cannot deny that I miss your comments, but I never regarded your 'silence' for rudeness or boredom.
May I add, I noticed that your style is very Nupurish. You don't follow paradigms, not even your own!😆
As I said in my introduction, even though I am going in a more Mayank style order, feel free to dance around and rain down upon us chaotic disorder.
Love Sabah
you guessed it right....I'm a very honest person... if I don't do my work, I'm not shy to say so and accept my mistake... but the fact is you guys write so beautiful that I get lost in reading everyone's perspective... your thread, Mou's MN thread and some amazing VMs, all the post make me get lost in MN dreamland... and then I realize that time flies quickly....😆Tell me about it. I have been an 'active' member since March 8th this year and already I can't believe it is the end of April I feel like I am still on my first date!
Your posts will never make me bored... you are truely blessed with beautiful writing skills....Maybe, but without substance it is like potpourri, pretty but quite unnecessary. I am blessed in this thread that my substance comes courtesy of Shilpa Aunty and Mayu.Yes, I'm more Nupurish... and sure I'll dance around.... I always wonder if Nupur will get to interact with Mayank's wonderful mother... who's now her mother too... it would have been very intersting to see their interaction.... two influential women in Mayank's life....I would love to see the return of Cj and tamana mam too. What about Bui and Shilpa Aunty? I believe that Bui had potential too, Nupur did receive a lot of love and nurture from her too as a child.
Hello sabah, love you loads. I am back & I am here to pester you.😆 I know you took a vow not to watch mjht till it makes sense. But it is making sense now trust me. Well everything except the shooting part. Excel college held auditions to encourage its students at extra-curricular activities but shoot the entire movie on college premises just because a student is part of movie. Dunno what happened to schedule of classes getting disrupted if they ever had any. The gratitude & generosity of axe-l college. Wonder if neel wants to save the expenditure on sets.🤣 Whatever. Like I care. So MN are talking about their future. Can you believe that. Mayank is right now frustrated that he lost focus of his dreams & nupur is disappointed that her dreams came crashing down & I am super excited. Finally MN are introspecting & you have to watch it sabah. When you do, I expect a full report.😆 Ok just kidding. But I would love to read your thoughts about it. So watch the MN parts atleast for me & tell me how you feel. And about the ff no I did not write any & for the sake of my health & sanity of others I don't plan to. But it was really sweet of you for asking. Thank you.🤗
Exam track was my favorite gang track. I watch the show only for MN but the exam track I enjoyed each & every character's scenes. Remember the letter uday writes to examiner, mere pyaare professor something.🤣 The amusement on mayank's face who sits behind him. I laughed my head off watching it. I loved the track- nupur who works hard & proving that she can accomplish anything she sets her heart on & gunjan- who gives an earful to samrat about how being cool is not everything & importance of studies. Girl power yay!⭐️ I think this is one track which was dealt in a realistic way & totally related to college backdrop.
Sabah *blows a kiss* thanks a lot for including my most fav scene.🤗 Me going personal again but I can totally connect with it. I used to be engrossed in studying & my mom would be yelling at me about dinner & she would forcefully oil my hair saying all those sleepless nights will give me headache. I fell in love with mjht for this reason. It was real without being melodramatic, beautiful & lovable.⭐️ Shilpa aunty I can never drool about her enough.👏👏 The way she teases him saying she supports nupur & then hugs him saying she is with him. Awwwwww I always want to hug them both.😃
Shipa sharma the stress buster. So true considering the very fast & efficient brain of mayank whose thoughts travel at light of speed.😉😆 Someone needs to calm him down. The irony here it is nupur who sends him into over-drive then but I loved how later she becomes the stress buster for him with her patience & tolerance of his mood swings.
The beauty of these scenes is that they are real things which we encounter everyday. Like I can totally understand mayank's annoyance at being challenged or his tension I guess looking at nupur's confidence that nupur might actually beat him. These things made him human & I loved it. Otherwise he was mr.perfect who is never wrong. But what is incredible is how shilpa aunty handles these things like telling mayank that exam is not a race to beat other or how jealousy brings out the vile stuff in people. She preaches good without being preachy. And the ever adorable mature mayank ponders over it realizes it is true & is decent to nupur. Shows he is human but acknowledges truth when told & makes amends. I want this mjht back, * throws a tantrum* seriously sabah I cannot thank you enough for this gem of a scene where mayank-maa teach us about healthy competition. 👏⭐️👏
And the scene where mayank says bhagwaan ke hath nahi jode lekin bhagwaan ke samene apne haath jode.🤣 Oh mayank.☺️😍 His one-liners turn me into blushing fan girl.☺️ And the whole news paper ke headlines cracked me up big time.😆 I guess shilpa aunty was trying to tell mayank to let go. Nupur fulfilled her promise of project no matter what means & mayank fulfilled his part of deal. She was saying news changes everyday so no point holding grudges & forgive nupur. Mayank did not get her point for sure but her expressions did crack me up. But by god her conversation with diya is my favorite. she
Laughs in such a sweet way hearing her voice. Dia's tone does get screechy in high pitch. & mayank is peeling that vegetable with such concentration. I envy him sometimes. I wish I had that kind of focus in me. And mayank refusing to go to party. Gosh his & shilpa aunty's expressions are amazing there. I miss mayank being the social recluse.
Shilpa aunty is so intent on sending mayank to a party. she is afraid that in pursuing his goals & dreams he might miss out on all the things life has to offer. She is sweetest and the most smartest mom ever. wonderful post sabah.👏👏
Now step 6- I am being honest here- I did not like saloon scene at all. It was funny no doubt but it did not make any sense to me. And I was disappointed cause when the deal was nupur has to beat mayank's partner--- I was excited I imagined a debate of sort where nupur will tear the partner girl to pieces with her argument. I can imagine the feeling of triumph & happiness on nupur's face & the admiration & astonishment on mayank's face.😍 It would have been a treat to watch. But the salon scene was worth watching only for shilpa sharma. She is shocked but does not jump to conclusions. Give MN their space does not involve in the fight & the best part she treats nupur on par with mayank. She is the best.👏🤗 But I still think it would have been better if there was a debate. As I said once, nupur & mayank are equally intelligent but in different ways. She is a maverick while he is an intellect. Something shown beautifully in academic meet. Mayank answers all questions in the quiz round & nupur plans their ad for the love potion. Both contribute equally to the success & complete each other. They are the best jodi in the true sense. Where one person's weakness is other person's strength & they perfectly complement each other. ☯️Hence their jodi is always a success be it dance or project or competition or drama.
And another gyaan that mjht gave us without forcing it is that you need to express your love to your loved ones. I guess simple gestures like a smile or greeting conveys the message more than expensive gifts. Don't you just love mayank when you see his love & concern for his mom.😍⭐️He is the best son ever. that scene was so sweet it is making my heart ache. Amazing post as usual sabah. Thanks a lot for the pm. I will be waiting for your take on MN.
Love you loads
Take care

Hello sabah, love you loads. Love you too Teju. I am back & I am here to pester you.😆 One person's pester is another's long wait over...welcome back. I was afraid you might miss out on commenting on your favourite Shilpa Aunty Mayank moment. I know you took a vow not to watch mjht till it makes sense. I am still going to wait a little longer. I only now managed to untie all the knots in my heart so before I wind my heart's thread around a bobbin of lament, I need an appropriate thimble for my feelings. Thank you.🤗I cannot encourage you enough to try. Truly you have a wit and insight that won't be denied!
Exam track was my favorite gang track. I watch the show only for MN but the exam track I enjoyed each & every character's scenes. Remember the letter uday writes to examiner, mere pyaare professor something.🤣 The amusement on mayank's face who sits behind him. I love that look too! I love those subtle reactions of actors even in the background of other's scenes. These days it is only ever close ups of the one speaking the line, as if to himself...I laughed my head off watching it. I loved the track- nupur who works hard & proving that she can accomplish anything she sets her heart on & gunjan- who gives an earful to samrat about how being cool is not everything & importance of studies. Girl power yay!⭐️ I think this is one track which was dealt in a realistic way & totally related to college backdrop.Truly, it inspired me to return to my studies with enthusiam that only ONE teacher in my entire life manage to incite within me.
Awwwwww I always want to hug them both.😃I was so worried you would miss commenting upon your all time favourite scene. As you said before, in the simplicity of their scenes we find intricacies. We cannot pinpoint the reason why are hearts are moved but in this moving we gain our own momentum towards the detailed beauty of our own lives.
Shipa sharma the stress buster. So true considering the very fast & efficient brain of mayank whose thoughts travel at light of speed.😉😆 Someone needs to calm him down. The irony here it is nupur who sends him into over-drive then but I loved how later she becomes the stress buster for him with her patience & tolerance of his mood swings.Beautiful comparison. 👏 My mother is my instigator, adviser and cherisher. She spins me off out into an unknown world first with training wheels, then stabilizers and finally now she lets me free fall. My heart my my mouth as she pushes me off but my solid and stable destination too.
She makes it an honour to follow her advice. She actually has a knack in making Mayank feel that 'he' chose it for himself. Like when we follows 'signs and signposts' then congratulate ourselves upon finding our 'OWN' way! 😆And the ever adorable mature mayank ponders over it realizes it is true & is decent to nupur. Shows he is human but acknowledges truth when told & makes amends. I want this mjht back, * throws a tantrum* seriously sabah I cannot thank you enough for this gem of a scene where mayank-maa teach us about healthy competition. 👏⭐️👏Every scene is full of ripe wisdom ready for the plucking and eating!
And the scene where mayank says bhagwaan ke hath nahi jode lekin bhagwaan ke samene apne haath jode.🤣 Oh mayank.☺️😍 Classic Smart Alec Sharma Style! I love how they show that his wit is inherited, it gives the whole comic moments an unique edge! His one-liners turn me into blushing fan girl.☺️ And the whole news paper ke headlines cracked me up big time.😆 I guess shilpa aunty was trying to tell mayank to let go. Nupur fulfilled her promise of project no matter what means & mayank fulfilled his part of deal. She was saying news changes everyday so no point holding grudges & forgive nupur. Exactly, I agree. MJHT creators thought deeply even in their props! Mayank did not get her point for sure but her expressions did crack me up. But by god her conversation with diya is my favorite. I wish she were blessed with more Shilpa Aunty and other MJHT characters. How would she have been with Uday? she
Laughs in such a sweet way hearing her voice. Dia's tone does get screechy in high pitch. & mayank is peeling that vegetable with such concentration. I never look at a carrot with the same disrespect that I had before I was privileged to see Mayank 'honour' one! 😆I envy him sometimes.
She is sweetest and the most smartest mom ever. wonderful post sabah.👏👏She isn't instilling a love of wildness but an interest in the wilderness of the world.
Now step 6- I am being honest here- I did not like saloon scene at all. It was funny no doubt but it did not make any sense to me.As I said to Senny, I had to force myself to watch it to write this step, I delayed it for a week. However this time, since I was focused on Shilpa Aunty's involvement, it seemed sweeter than my soured memory of it. Truly the source of Mayank's love of sincerity. She is fair in the actual sense of the word and NOT as most people believe themselves to be, by being fair to those who deserve it only. To be just even against yourself takes strength of heart. 👏👏👏Excellently expressed. I concur!
And another gyaan that mjht gave us without forcing it is that you need to express your love to your loved ones. I guess simple gestures like a smile or greeting conveys the message more than expensive gifts. My favourite presents from people are usually their gestures and words. When we lose a loved one, we don't miss the things they bought for us, for we may still find them in the shops, we miss their touch, their smell and their kind thoughts about us. 😳Don't you just love mayank when you see his love & concern for his mom.😍⭐️He is the best son ever. that scene was so sweet it is making my heart ache. Amazing post as usual sabah. Thanks a lot for the pm. I will be waiting for your take on MN.As I told Nandita, I have only managed to get my internal thermometer from boiling point indignant to temperate acceptance, so I do not want to start messing with the boiler gauge just yet. Give me at least one if not two tracks.
Love you loadsReturn the love as always in abundance!
Take care

Step 7 - Anger Management.
Fight fire with water or fight fire with fire. Fire-fighters and mothers alike instinctively know when to use which dampening method. However amateurs should call the 'hotline', for 'back-fires' have an unpredictable tendency that can result in despoliation.
{Lesson 7 By Mayank. Golden Life Rule:- Never raise your voice at your mom. As for the rest, a roaring lion has acres of personal space.}

Shilpa Aunty's parenting skills should be applauded. Many parents get into a rut with their children. The same tactics garnering the same responses over and over again until as they say "the moment you realise your parents were correct, your children begin telling you that you are wrong."
In the first instance she uses water and instinctively changes tactics in the second incident and uses fire. She knows that in the first the raging fire burning was devastating Mayank whereas in the second, it was fiercely fuelling a life of passion. I added scenes of CJ too because like the star she is, she too instinctively uses water in the first instance and fire in the second instance to manage the inferno that is Mayank.
Fighting fire with water.
She enters the room to find Mayank as 'depressed' as his cushion. As you would puff up that poor pillow, she tries to tease some life back into Mayank by asking about the adoration of his fans, unaware of the store of static produced by unseen 'friction' and receives an electric shock!
That apparent hurt upon hurt upon Mayank's face. The disappointment of Nupur's actions over which his own disappointment of his actions in front of his mother.
She pats away those remnants of rage with the glistening moisture upon her palms.
Then my favourite line, not for its eloquence but for its historical depth. Truthfully, it caught me off guard as when Mayank moved those tea things between him and his mother and said those sweet tones of love, back in step one. Maybe it was because unlike the majority of epiphanies about others it preceded by a lull before the lightening lights up your enlightened mind.
"Saal mein aata hai, lekin narq pe"
KYA? Saal Mein? Is it just a turn of phrase? Sarcasm? For me it denotes the blissful harmony of Shilpa Aunty's melody which Mayu hums along to without EVER needing to change the tune.
Fighting fire with fire.
Then number two in my top two favourite Shilpa Aunty moments (number one in Step 8, please inform me of yours too). Vaishnavi's endearing facial expressions combined with that famous sass, or 'Smart Alec Sharma Sarcasms' are impeccably timed to perfection. The fact Arjun managed to stay in character is a testament to his acting ability. Shilpa Aunty's insincere innocent expressions and mannerisms pull the strings of my heart like under the command of a master puppeteer.
Maa, aap geeta mere liye parli ho, ya apne aap ke liye?
Beta, mein itne zor se parai hi ho, toh obviously tumarai liye parai hi ho!
Thanks but mein already parla ha ho.
Jo tum roz karte ho...lekin mujhe geeta zada interesting lagi, is liye maine socha ke mein tume bhi suna thi ho.
Waise, ab tak jo maine parra tune suna ke nahin?
Jab aap kuch bolti ho, nahin suney ka option hai?
That's great! - can't resist that nose nudge!
Ab mein shlok ka mathlab samjati ho. {My hindi & Sanskrit understanding is shamefully terrible, so my attempted translation of the next part will be appalling if not unintentionally offensive. IF someone could help me then I can edit (with credit)}EDIT (Credit to my translator, the very talented and ever so helpful 'JESS'!
Jab kissi Manushka dhyyan kissi vastu ke tara jaata hai...
When a unique, strong, independent person goes intently towards some object
toh uska mann use ke liye akarshit;
Jess "when you notice a beautiful unique object, your mind gets attracted towards that object... out of curiosity, out of mere attraction."
Aur us aakarshan se paida hoti hai Ichha aur Ichha se Krodh, Eersha.
Jess "Attraction fuels strongs desires... and strong desires can lead to anger, grudge, jealousy..."
(The kindling of Mayank's fervent indignation exquisitely animated by Arjun!)
kya samje?
aap ko kya lagta hai? nupur se mein krodhit ho? mujhe vo acchi lagti hai, aur muhje uski taraf KYA mehsuus hota hai? aakarsha?
Jess "She was trying to tell him indirectly that he is attracted to her... but he is miunderstanding that attraction and instead leading to anger, hatred and jeallousy against Nupur..."
Are bhai, isme Nupur kahan se aagaye? mein toh geeta ke baat karaye thi!
KYA?!
Shilpa Aunty uses the 'bazooka' in the parent's arsenal. No child can argue with the words of God! She has chosen the best verse to channel the fire towards a positive end.
Fighting fires on two fronts with one water 'sprinkler' system.
As subtle as a changes in summer's breezes, for you don't notice the varying directions it comes from, only that it comes; she uses water to abate the inflamed vim of both Mayank and Nupur; she understands the fruitlessness of wicks that burn through before all the aromatic wax has had time to fragrantly melt.
^^ Sabah... you don't have to mention that yaar... really....Credit where credit is due. RE:below where you mention meaningful lessons, remember the whole Nupur Project credit fiasco. VERY MEANINGFUL LESSON!
I love your step 7 of parenting guide.... Shilpa Aunty uses different tactics for anger management of her son... she senses what kind of anger it it... and then decides if she should add water or more fire....Truly I am astonished at the amount of wisdom, insight and depth of details. Sometimes I think that maybe I embellish a little too much BUT with Shilpa Aunty and Mayu I don't need to add anything over their silken embroidery. The Geeta path was the best lesson she told her son.... never thought MJHT can give us some meaningful lessons of life....🤣Both Shilpa Aunty and Mayank at their exquisite best! I wonder how many 'children' know this lesson off by heart now! The best way to teach children about their religion is to make the lessons related to their lives. It seriously made me think differently those 'things' I have extreme and ardent emotions over. Not the obvious answers but like Mayank where I cannot seem to understand the reason for such strong emotions for a 'thing' that I am quite unconnected with or to.
Have you ever had an 'instant' dislike or like or strong reaction towards a person? Why does that happen? 😕
