"Please...you might not know but he has contacted me many times to find out how we were doing-""- yeh sure" , she mocked at the thought, "I bet he just wants to know if we are alive or not!"

"Please Madhu...take it as my last wish...before I di-" Madhu quickly covered her mouth with her hand and shook her head with a pearl of tear escaping her eye.

"No Maa you're not going anywhere," she said with a tear rolling down her soft milky cheek.

"You can't run away from facts Madhu. I don't have much time left and you know that."

Madhu could not take it anymore...she carefully picked up her mother's hand which was connected with many wires leading to all different types of machines and held it besides her face.

"Maa please don't say such things...you know I have no one else in this world...ple..please don't...don't leave me...please don't..." she said crying her heart out.

"please beta...you know I don't want you to be alone...please go to your Dad...he wants you back. He just committed a small mistake...and he repents it. Do it for me...go back" she said caressing her cheek. Madhu just looked at her... how can someone have such a big heart?

"You know...you have a Daadi a Daadu who are desperately waiting to see you. Hehh(she smiled) and there is Roma...your Bua...she is super fun...I bet you will love her. And how can I forget Rohan bahyia...He is the best...he seems to be very serious but I tell you he is the BEST! and he also has a daughter...Deepali...she is about your age so you two would get along very well. And..and you..ermm..have a sister over there...Trishna" Madhu who had been listening very calmly suddenly lost it.

"She is NOT my SISTER!!! And never will be!!!" she let out her words filled with hate and anger.

"Please Madhu...for me?"

Madhu looked at her Mother forgetting all about her anger she nodded her head.

A tear escaped her eye, remembering the last conversation she had with her mother.

"Why did you have to leave me Maa? You were my only strength..." she said looking at a picture of her with her Mom. A week had now gone by since her mother passed away because of brain tumour. Madhu grabbed her phone and dialled a number...

"Hey, Priya?"

"Yes, Ma'am speaking."

"Ok listen I want you to book a flight for me tonight to Mumbai. I want to reach there by noon tomorrow."

"Yes Ma'am...but can I ask...why so suddenly?"

"It's something personal...and yes please don't say anything about this to Mukund...I will tell him myself and if he asks just say you don't know."

"As you wish Ma'am. Anything else?"

"No thank you I'll contact you if I need you again. Bye"

"Bye... Ma'am please take care of yourself over there."

"I will thanks."

With that they both hung up the phone.

She had nothing left. Her heart had not only broken only once but several times the only one close to her now was Mukund who knew everything about her. Mukund being her best friend was her only support to get over the death of her mother. Madhu could not find the courage to tell him that she is going back to India so she decided to tell him after she reached there.
